@aratrea Well… it’s been a while since I’ve done these videos, so please excuse if I’m a little vague 😉 However, my friend and I have still been writing our story, and the character I’m focusing on in the homework has started her arc a little now 😀
Characteristic Moment Well, at the start of the characters’ journey, Amrei (I can’t even…[Read more]

@jess-penrose @aratrea Yes! That one is great! And it even reflected in the actual writing, I found. *Spoiler alert* 😉 Everything about him and in him seemed shrouded in darkness. Though he’s a good person and tries to do what’s right, he’s trapped in lies and darkness from his past. When he changes, everything feels so much clearer, his…[Read more]

@seekjustiace Oh yes, I heard about the Vegemite chocolate. My friend and her mum and brother tried it, and I think they said it was disgusting. It just sounds disgusting.

@f5a8c3e92 @shannon Yeah, people who don’t know it do take too much. It’s not like peanut butter where you can spread it all over and the worst you get is a sticky mouth. I once watched American people trying Australian foods, and when they got to the Vegemite, they were spreading too much, and one dude took a whole spoonful and ate it, and gagged.

@jane-maree Yeah, I know, I can’t be a true-blue Aussie if I don’t 😉 But I am a picky eater, and usually if something doesn’t get past the smell test, it can’t move on to the taste test, and Vegemite doesn’t pass 😉 XD

@f5a8c3e92 Oh yeah, I heard about that before too. Oh, and Weetbix! That’s a very Australian thing too 😉 Although I don’t eat them myself (or Vegemite)

@shannon We might, but we may not call them fire ants specifically. We have what we call bull ants though.

Louise Fowler replied to the topic Works cited page? in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 8 months ago
@salome01w4g I wouldn’t think so, seeing as it’s a novel and not a non-fiction historical book or an essay. But I don’t know for sure.

@graciegirl I’m glad we could be of some help 🙂 And I’m glad you’ve got a clearer picture now. Let me know how it goes! 😀

@shannon No, I do not. I live in Western Australia. And even though it has the word “Western” in it, it’s nothing at all like the Wild West 😉

@shannon Everything’s bigger in? 😉 XD
Big hats, big belt buckles, big accents (well, not big, but thick) Uhm… I don’t generally think cowboys, but I like the idea 😉 I also think of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans on the Muppet Show, and Dale singing Deep in the Heart of Texas 😀
*goes to listen to it now*

Louise Fowler replied to the topic Christ Characters in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 8 months ago
I do not know how to write a Christ-figure, but Deaus and Hope Ann seem to have a pretty good idea. My friend’s and my co-writing project is going to have some sort of a Christ-figure as well, but we’re not up to that yet, so we haven’t figured out all the details.
As for other Christ-figures in fiction, there is, of course, Aslan of Narnia. I…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy I think AiG and Creation Mag are connected, though I’m not 100% certain 😉 Ah, okay, I knew they were also connected somehow 🙂 Yes, I do want to come and see it sometime, but who knows when that will be?? :O

@emma-flournoy Oh yeah, I know about AiG and Creation magazine. They’re great. My grandparents (and I’m always amazed to hear this) know quite a few of the people involved (my grandfather was even featured in Creation Magazine once 😀 ). I think we even went to see Ken Ham speak once. And my friend (American 😉 ) recently told me about that…[Read more]
