@overcomer, great idea! 😀 Now I have a place to list all my writing troubles! Ah, yes!
Well, since everyone else is saying what they’re working on… right now I’m trying to figure out a name for a blog I’m thinking of starting. It will be mostly for writing book reviews and the occasional article here and there. Eventually I’d like to post…[Read more]

@overcomer, Just what I need! A club where I can complain about my writerly problems and procrastinate all the more. 😉 😛 (just kidding)

@overcomer, @hope is going to hate me for saying this, but she let me read the first draft of Rose of Prophecy’s sequel (cuz I do her cover art), and let me just tell you, you are in for a real treat.

@overcomer No, that’s a separate book. Though I do have a sequel to Rose of Prophecy in the works as well. The rough draft is done and I’m currently working on editing. 😉
@Daeus I can relate. I’ve done that several times with a book of mine, then added about 2/3 to the length, then rewrote it again, and now I’m reworking the last part again! The…[Read more]

I’m not a discouraged writer, but I’ve got an interesting situation with this novella of mine. I wrote it, loved the plot, and then figured out I needed to seriously improve the writing. Now I’m keeping the plot and totally rewriting it. Seriously, I’m completely rewriting the majority of it. I’m so glad it’s a novella and not a full-length…[Read more]

Mallory,
Definitely nitty-gritty work… My eyes see the flaws running up and down and sideways and ALL OVER. XD but my brain responds with: Yes. you’re quite right. It’s bad. Nope no idea on how to fix it… So I stare at the page and make doodles… XD You said this topic was for moping, yes? AND Rambling? Ooooh I think I definitely belong…[Read more] -

Hello again, Mallory! @overcomer
Randomness is what we authors live on, I believe, therefore, please feel no need to apologize for it!XD If half of what I say is in any way not random, it’s been a good day XD.Thanks:)
Hey! That’s pretty cool! I’ve been here for about a year… wow, time has flown. I think I found Kingdom Pen last February…[Read more]

No, it was genuinely helpful @overcomer. Even if I didn’t end up using any of the corrections (which I am— I’ll probably do what you suggested with the shattered shield and snapped bowstring) it makes me step back and look at my work in new ways, which is always good.
Yes, I have written the story— my WIP, actually. Or more like a WIE—…[Read more]

Thanks, @overcomer. 🙂 I really appreciate your meticulousness. 😉 I’ll definitely take all those corrected lines into consideration.
Yes… I had so much fun with this poem, because it was special to one of my main characters. His mother used to sing it to him when he was little— scared of the dark and of thunderstorms. Near the climax of the…[Read more]

Oooohh! I love this! I realize I haven’t been on for a while, but have been having a lot of trouble with editing through my second draft of my NaNoWriMo project. also just knowing how to fix all of this crazy that I wrote late at night that I called a “book”… I now call it a “Novella”… maybe… Getting closer to a Novellette with all the…[Read more]

Oh wow @overcomer, totally no rush— I’d no idea you were actually going to do an in depth evaluation of either poem. 😛 Not that it won’t be welcome— but you really didn’t have to if it was too much trouble. I was thinking you would just skim over it once and tell me your general opinion.
So… no pressure. 🙂Wow, though, I really…[Read more]

@overcomer I like this one definitely out of your lot of titles. “Marks of a Typewriter.” But “Dust and Ink” is good too. 🙂

@overcomer I think the first “then” is good, but the one in the last stanza I would probably change to “on”. If you do that, you might also want to change “line by line” to “line on line” just to match.
