You’re just going to leave me hanging? XD
Ahh, gotcha.

Great section!! I think you pulled it off. It doesn’t feel too odd or confusing. We are told when the time is passing by, and given a few details, and then the winter is over.
and the other down Julian’s back while he lay sleeping.
😂😂😂 Talk about a rude awakening!
I’m interested in Leon’s backstory more now. He seems to be hidi…[Read more]

Violin would be easier to learn coming from a pianist background! But yeah, I understand if you already have too many instruments.
I will say that it’s hardest in the beginning, probably. When you are just starting out, it’s hard to get it to sound good. But if you can stick with it for a few months, it gets better. 😉

Yeah, it’s so weird because basically all they’re getting is the character’s personality and description in-book . . . also moodboards, which probably influenced it a lot xD But still, it’s cool seeing other people’s imaginations on paper.

Right. Just make sure to give the readers some regular scenes too, so that there’s a blend between time jumps and regular speed. But you’ve already done this in the sections we’ve read, so just keep it up. 😜

I imagine her with darker eyes and probably looking a little younger, but you did pretty well. 😁

I and my younger sister sometimes have telepathy moments too, so I think it’s more of a close sibling thing.
Hey, that happens to me and my younger sister as well! We’re almost 2 years apart, but spend a good amount of time together (as homeschoolers 😝). We’re always trying to say the same thing or making the same connections.

Wow, your depiction of her personality was really cool to read. I hadn’t even thought about all those things together like that–like how she pauses to consider different things–but you have a good point.
Awesome, thank you!! I’m glad it doesn’t seem to be too much for you guys.

Oh yeeaah, I did. Okay, makes more sense that you knew. 🤣 Yep, I signed up! I think I’m in Brookside Stories?

Oh, awesome!! I guess I’ll see you on there, then! 😉
I don’t think I can survive another week. 😳😝 And the teacher puts ME in the trouble chair.
The trouble chair?? XD

Thank you so much!!!!
She’s not smiling because I was trying to capture the way she feels to me at this point in the story. Hope that’s okay.
That’s totally fine! I like seeing how other people picture my characters–I don’t know, it’s just really interesting and cool. And yeah, I don’t know if I would imagine her smiling eit…[Read more]

I like the section, though again, like we’ve talked about before, you do kind of gloss over everything and summarize it all in a page or two. That’s fine, though, if this isn’t a super important part of the story. It would be nice to get to see some more specifically of the new characters who’ve joined Julian and Leon, since we…[Read more]

I know a pair of twins who say they have it, but they’re probably joking. XD I and my younger sister sometimes have telepathy moments too, so I think it’s more of a close sibling thing.

I started gesture drawing while listening to videos on the French Revolution. And I just kept adding more. So here’s a good day’s work! (I used photo references because I want to learn how to draw quicker.) (And of course, can’t go without a little character pose on the side to keep me company.)

Sounds good to me! I probably won’t have a lot to offer because my art is few and far between, but it’s a cool idea.

Pro-tip for movie watchers: Stop-motions tend to be higher art quality than normal 3D. I should make a list of my favorites and post it in the movie topic!

I looked it up and it seems like it might be…. claymation? Something like that.
Yep! It’s stop-motion with lots of different materials. Stop-motions can be less expensive for the filmmakers, but they have to work a lot more.

When I say it’s a good horror story, I mean that. There are a lot of thought-provoking horrors out there, usually to represent things gone too far, like dystopias. I think most good horrors are functionally dystopias.
Coraline is about home, courage, and the horrors of wishful thinking. It takes a ‘what if’ and digs into exactly…[Read more]
