Hey guys!
So, I’m just going to say it…. writing’s been hard lately. I just started another novel–10,000 words through– but as I write, I really have to force myself to keep going. I try to write well, of course, but I feel almost disconnected from my book. I can write as fast as I used to if I force myself to, if I really really try, but I…[Read more]

Welcome to KP @Valtmy! Always good to have another INTJ around. We have quite a few, and what’s more, quite a few female ones, for all their being as rare as unicorns. 😉 The writer life must be good to them. Or something like that.

@ingridrd AGH! I know, so many forgotten ideas. It’s torture, really.
@sleepwalkingMK “They’re writers.” XD Yes, I’ve had to do that once. Somebody was asking someone else a whole lot of questions, and I just looked at him and said, “We’re writers.”
“Aahhhh…”

@ingridrd *absent whistling*
You know you’re a writer when you don’t want to become a certain way because it’s cliche.
You know you’re a writer when you have dreams about your characters.

You know you’re a writer when you haven’t written in your novel for a few days, and your walking around the house, saying, “Boy, I miss ___”
Then you stop…and say, “Oh wait, he doesn’t exist.”

@mariposa Oohhh… I wish to read this novel.
Here’s one I just made for a character in the third book of my trilogy. He’s eight.

@GracieGirl Coolness.
YES I love Mere Christianity. *flails* I’m glad you’re reading it. Have you read The Screwtape Letters too?
I’m reading a true WWII rescue account called The Forgotten 500 right now. It’s pretty cool. In the fiction realm, one of the things I’ve read recently which I liked quite a bit was the Mysterious Benedict Society…[Read more] -

@Aviantrail Welcome to KP! That’s cool you’re Captain America. He’s an ISFJ too. 😉 And also, *whispers* you definitely should read more of the Scarlet Pimpernel books.

Emma Flournoy replied to the topic Cliche? in the forum Fantasy 6 years, 10 months ago
@WarrioroftheRealm Well, looks like I’m contradicting everyone else on this topic, but… my first thought was yes, absolutely. 😛 It’s undoubtedly cliche. There are ALWAYS exceptions, which several of the worthy responders above have pointed out, but in general, just thinking of that kind of scene, yes, I find it cliche.

@dekreel I haven’t really tried manga before. The one time I tried it, he kind of looked like a Roman monkey….
I like mine to be the most necessary lines and nothing more. Like this:
I drew that for the Leumeister a while back.

@jenwriter17 Ooh boy. Pen names? Welllll…
To get ideas you could always find a name from one of your stories–whether obscure or not.
I don’t think you need your pen name to be completely random either. I mean, if you want it to be, by all means let it be. XD However, I think your name could have more significance if it had some attatchment…[Read more] -

@winter-rose I’m going to sign out now. I only wrote 695 but I’m happy with that because these beginning scenes aren’t particularly easy to write. Bleh. Anyway, see you around! 😀

@winter-rose Yeah! It’s much better than I’ve been doing. I started a new novel recently, and beginning the first ten chapters is like writing in a puddle of molasses. This dangerous writing app is helping me get over it. 😉

@winter-rose Well, 590 to my novel. I’ve done other experimenting too so I’d guess a thousand or so in all. Although…I did this one mode and I lost like 300-400 words. AGH!!!!!!! They were good words too. Ah well, I guess this is why it’s called the Most Dangerous Writing App.

HA!!! Oh my goodness, I love you. *recalls the twenty-two page email chain about RO*
We just went through all the Star Warses (how do you say that plural?) before Last Jedi came out, and… *flails* He really is a dear little grump.
And K-2SO…
“Do you want to know the odds of her using that blaster against you? They’re high. They’re very high.”
We went through all the Star Wars(es? Gollum-speak, maybe…) before TLJ too, except Rogue One since it didn’t HAVE to be seen before TLJ. So we just finally got around to watching it. Caroline and Douglas didn’t really flail over it, which makes me sad. But I have enough flails to make up for it, so *FLAILS*
YES. And him and Cassian.…[Read more]
(Oh, and except the prequels but that goes without saying. ;P)
You know, I’m really ashamed of those two. They just did not inherent good flailing genes. *shakes head sternly* Here’s a flail to join your flail to make up for their lack of flails.
*FLAILS*
“I thought I told you to stay at the ship!”
“You did, but I thought it was boring.”

“There were a lot of explosions for two people just blending in.”
INFP, I think.
There’s such variation within the kind…
NO. *vigorous nodding* And I think he’s an INFP too. MUCH variation within the kind. 😛 Did you have any ideas as to what he and Krennic were?
“I will help you, Jyn Erso… Because Cassian says I have to.”
*chokes* INFP? HA! That’s hilarious. I don’t think I would have guessed that for Krennnic. I can see it with Bohdi, though he always hit me as more of an E. Honestly, RO characters are really hard to type. Maybe because we don’t get to know them as well as other movie characters? I…[Read more]
Me either, until Kate elaborated, and then it made more sense. Slightly at least. And I know, especially ’cause Bohdi talks so much! I’ve thought maybe he’s an ENFP, but then he seems so…nervous and almost shy sometimes. I dunno. (But at any rate, I adore his and Galen’s relationship.) I think that’s a safe theory, about RO characters. A good…[Read more]
Awww, I know. They’re relationship was the best, even if there wasn’t very much of it.
I still think he’s an ISTJ… Reminds me of a hardened Horatio, what with being a stickler for rules and following orders and all that stuff. And his ability to compartmentalize death and the horrible things he’s done seems very Thinkerish, in my humble (and…[Read more]
HA! That’s hilarious. (Okay maybe not exactly, but…you get the point.) Poor us. I dunno. It’s always possible…we humans do tend to see things from our own individual viewpoints. (AAAND the prize goes to Emma Flournoy, for stunning understatement of the year.) It’s quite vexing to see the same people typed differently all over the internet,…[Read more]
Ugh. I accidentally just deleted my comment. You probably got the notification already, but I’m doing it again anyway. I said, looks like I’m outta luck, ’cause I looked him up and almost everyone says ISTJ or ISTP. *mopes* You’ve got the majority on your side at least. I read…[Read more]
