@linus-smallprint That sounds like a good idea. I think I’ll stick around KP too until it dies or the new one is up, whichever comes first.

Alright, that sounds good! If needed, I can probably try to set up a Slack group, but since that won’t work for some people it might be better just to use email (as a last resort if the website actually goes down) until we figure out if we’re building a new web…[Read more]

@linus-smallprint

You’re awesome. A new website sounds like a lot of work. Thank you so much

@hybridlore @everyone

Slack is a decent option, I’d be down for it. I’m honestly fine with any way to get in touch with people outside of kp.

Though of course, like most people, I’m sticking around here for as long as kp is still functional. I assumed that went without saying. I’m just nervous that at some point, kp might shutdown completely and…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle Email seems like a solid option until a new site gets put up.

@linus-smallprint @theducktator @keilah-h

It looks like our best option would be either Slack or creating a new website, I think. We can always switch around depending on what works and what doesn’t.

@linus-smallprint I’ve heard horror stories from my friends about their Discords getting hacked, but the thing for me is more just not having the temptation to join certain servers. I’ve been invited to Discord servers for animators or artists before, but I can’t be completely sure of the content that’s on them, so I’d rather just abstain…[Read more]

Yeah, I’ve said this repeatedly but I’d rather stay far away from Discord, for more than a few reasons. I’ve heard Slack is ok but it’d be terrible for roleplays due to how it’s structured.

Also here is the current trope/ other stuff count as of page 350, if anyone is interested:

Total number of characters: 154
Times characters have met by accidentally literally running into each other: 19
Physical fights: 12
Traumatic flashbacks: 26
Times a character has gotten lost or asked for directions: 8
“He scratched/rubbed the back of his n…[Read more]

Sounds like a sweet dynamic! This helpful bit from an article came to mind: siblings more than five years apart are more like only children than the typical oldest, youngest, and middle stereotypes. The article phrased it as the birth order “resetting” every five years. Of course, the oldest child will still have to share things, and…[Read more]

@linus-smallprint @whalekeeper

It has been really buggy lately… I could barely sign in the last few days.

Linus, do you still think creating a website is the best option, considering other applications like Slack and Discord? (I’m sorry, I can’t remember what we decided about that.)

@grcr just the “party” part, or the big adventure thing that died halfway through and switched back to a party too?

the adventure part was so fun

@whalekeeper I know you’re not a part of this one but I was reading through it and was like “hmmm, maybe I should save this one.”

if only because I’m having fun re-reading what I wrote for my characters lol

@keilah-h

and then suddenly got stuck endlessly reloading somehow.

Agh, that is the most annoying part.

Good idea to save the roleplays! Currently none of the ones I’m in are active but I like reading through them every once in a while.

I don’t remember who had the idea first, me or Loops. Probably Loops. 😝 She pasted most of School RP and I hel…[Read more]

I write random stuff for my LD WIP in my email drafts. It can be planning, action scenes, descriptions, character-focused scenes, etc. None of it is serious in the sense of an official draft. This is casual writing for one WIP that doesn’t have a first draft yet.

Out of curiosity, I copy-pasted all the scenes into a document and checked the w…[Read more]

@whalekeeper yeah it is the buggiest I’ve ever seen. The weird formatting has persisted for days, and when I tried to sign in on my tablet it went back to normal formatting for like 1 second and then suddenly got stuck endlessly reloading somehow.
