1. To be honest whenever I come up with new ideas I just add them halfway through and then later go back and add them in the beginning. Saves a bit of time.

2. Totally! Usually my chapters are 6 and a half pages, sometimes they’re 13.

@sparrowhawke Yee a lot of classics use first person peripheral, actually! For another work I was debating between first and third and finally settled on first person peripheral. Pretty happy I did.

@sparrowhawke I am a big believer and an astute follower of third person past. First person only occasionally, and always in past tense. Sometimes second. Been trying out peripheral first lately. But yeah, no, I don’t like first person present.

I think a good book is something that makes me feel something (no, not cringe or anger or absolute regret or anything like that) but one that makes you think about it long after you close the pages.
