@Dragon-Snapper nice. I want to read that when you’re done. *nods* Translated as: I am GOING to read it, if I have to ship myself through the internet wires to get my hands on it.

@I-J-Anderson *ravenously adopts it*
She looks unusually pensive in that picture, but I can totally see Taren there. I love it. And let me just say— the white pencil (or is it chalk?) on dark paper? GORGEOUS. That takes talent and I applaud you. It gives the picture so much more character. -

1: Braeden. Idealistic spy for the bad guys. EiL: that humanity is a mess, but can be saved and is worth saving. Since the villains seem to be the only ones who acknowledge that humanity is a mess, duh, obviously he would work for them. Incidentally, he gets killed— by Eldred— about halfway through the book, to keep information safe, but also…[Read more]

If you say it’s Taren I’m going to totally flip because that is literally almost identical.

@Dragon-Snapper whew… I haven’t written scifi yet, though I’ve got one in the works. And… quite honestly, most of my inspiration for the actual science-y stuff came from studying physical science in my schoolwork. Like… the nature of time. And space. And how gravity is a result of those two, bent. And how stars work… and what gases do what…[Read more]

Finish the second draft of my WIP, run through it one more time, and send it out to beta readers. Also write a novella. (Yes. The same novella I put int the Fall and Winter Writing Goals. *weak chuckle*)

@Aratrea Got it. He does tempt Ethaniel with the idea of giving him a name, but it is more trying to give what he thinks Ethaniel wants than trying to convince him to his own point of view.

@Aratrea then… hm. So then it’s possible for a character to be more than one of the three types? Because she’s definitely a type one, and yet when you said that I realize she could also be a type two after a fashion. Does that work?

My main villain is a former friend of Ethaniel’s. They were messengers together and developed a strong bond because Ethaniel has no name and Keros (who ends up becoming the villain) was of mixed blood (Ethaniel actually helped and cared for Keros when Keros first joined the force. He’s the main reason Keros stayed). Keros’s EiL is that a…[Read more]

I’m going to go with Arianwen again. Her arc mirrors Harold’s, making it a type one. They both follow disillusionment arcs.
Arianwen’s, however, more represents the flip side of Harold’s, because while Harold was particularly disillusioned with the ‘good guys’ and almost considered joining the bad guys, Arianwen, because she was on the wrong side…[Read more] - Load More
