@dekreel @perfectfifths Yes. Yes. I was mean. Sorry. 😛
@lady-iliara *blink* I have no idea…
If I am to put a quote out there, then I won’t do another KP obscure one. One that should get this topic’s engine running. 😉
“It’s man’s discovery of Nunya.”

@introvert_girl Really? You liked Force Awakens better?

Aha! I’m not alone! I liked it way better than Rogue One. Just couldn’t connect with the characters…or the plot of Rogue One.

@shannon I am a little late, but I hope not by too much. 😀
So…letters eh? Um… With some of my letters I like to talk about what I’ve been working on recently. If your characters are Christians, they can talk a bit about God too. Also, big events, even if its something that only in the news. Coal mine news is certainly interesting. There…[Read more]

You know when you’re a writer when you find a character/scene/plot that you like, and wonder how you can write your own without it seeming like you were copying it.

I don’t usually put letters in books, because I haven’t had the need to. 😛 But I would think that, if the letter wasn’t of much significant importance to the plot, then you might not even need to write out the letter in the story. You can tell in the narrative the character got a letter that day, maybe summarise the general basics of what it…[Read more]

Josiah DeGraaf replied to the topic Gospel-related themes in our writing in the forum Mission, Calling & Ethics 8 years, 5 months ago
@gh24682468999 Great question! I think there’s a ton of ways you can point to the truth of the Gospel without bringing it explicitly into your story. In my opinion, though, while creativity can help if you want to have a focus on just the Gospel, I think there’s also a valuable place for using fiction to show the truth of the Christian worldview…[Read more]

Emma Flournoy replied to the topic Jewelry Business Name in the forum Art 8 years, 5 months ago
@Shannon Eh, I’m too late. 😀 I was going to say though, I like the name a lot, but from seeing your jewelry I wouldn’t automatically think ‘Texas’; the name Texas Trinkets puts in my mind more kinda Western styles than what you do. So it doesn’t quite seem to fit all the stuff you do. I’m not saying change the name, but I was going to put it out…[Read more]

@that_writer_girl_99 Wow, it sounds really well-thought out, and a really good story!
@dekreel Exactly what you expect it to be, I believe – like Steampunk only with diesel (though I am more familiar with Steampunk, so I could be off).
