After being technically published for a few weeks, I’ve officially launched my Beauty and the Beast novella, Rose of the Oath, today!!! *hands out cheesecake and ice cream* Also *lowers voice* I have a secret. The novella is actually free, for now. So if any of you happen to enjoy reading, like me, and don’t have a bunch of money to spend on books…[Read more]

Would you rather listen to hard rock music while writing, or write for five hours in a cinder block room with pale white lights?

@daughteroftheking Beta-red by Darth Vader–because really, how awesome would that be? After I killed off his favorite character, I would get an email from him saying, “You have failed me for the last time.”
@celticcailin Tiny plane. Writing upside down is probably not healthy. Unless I’m doing pull ups.
@perfectfifths Aaii! I would definitely…[Read more] -
Hope Ann replied to the topic Handout for Distribution Among Friends: Brainstorming Needed in the forum Stewards of the Pen 9 years, 2 months ago
I agree with @bethanysinkyroses; a smaller handout – a notecard or even business card size would be nice to give to friends. I think the brochure is great for someone who doesn’t know about Kingdom Pen but I’m picturing the audience for the smaller handout is someone who is already interested because they just had an excited friend tell them how…[Read more]

@daughteroftheking Darth Vader. He can help me develop my Chosen Ones, anti-heroes, villains, and redeemed characters 😉
@celticcailin That’s hard. But probably plane, because I often write on my iPad if not at my PC, so that’ll be okay.
Would you rather only be able to eat after you’ve written 2 chapters of your novel, or suffer insomnia until…[Read more]

Daeus replied to the topic Style & Voice in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 3 months ago
@delightinlife The first question is easier to answer than the second.
Voice is basically the “tone” you write in. It’s the types of details you include or don’t include, how many of them you include, how much you show or tell, what type of characters you write about, whether you lean towards sarcasm, cuteness, or morbidity, and many other…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper My family asked me why I was laughing, and I realized there is no good way to explain this. It’s just too jam packed with inside jokes. XD I do believe that you, my dear, have become a legendary writer of KP.

@Emma-Flournoy Oh great, all we need is our little grammar Nazi reading a book on grammar. 😉 Seriously though, I may just check that out. Grammar is something I pretend to know but secretly hate…

We have that book. We have two copies, but they’re different. I haven’t bothered reading them through yet, but one of them looks like it’s cleaner, targeted to kids. I don’t know, though. I haven’t read either of them. 😛

Okay… I guess so… you just did. But you’re wrong. I’m INFP, the Mediator. 🙂 XD
Good to hear. 🙂 Yes, good idea getting your parents’ permission first. I hope you get it. ^_^
