@That_Writer_Girl_99 *disdainful sniff* Well you didn’t need to go and drag my personality type into things. I have always COMPLETELY been the victim here, no buts about it.

Tagging @GracieGirl because you’re an adorable, enthusiastic INFP who paints cool things and taught me the difference between P/J in personality types. Girlie, you spruce things up.
And @That_Writer_Girl_99 because you’re an awful INFP who is mean to me and has the nerve to like Luke Skywalker.
(Okay, okay, fine. *grudging admittance* I really…[Read more]

@Dragon-Snapper I’m just gonna shove this on you becau
se this taught me almost everything I know about choppiness.

And as far as action/dialogue tags… that’s when things get tricky. Like Daeus said, it’s a complicated dance of changing up the pattern of things. What I’ve found helps is when you take a basic action and elaborate on it. Don’t…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper I’m not really an expert on this, but the thing that’s helped me most is mixing things up — variety.
Variety in sentence length. I like to mix long, short, and medium sentences in a fairly even blend.
Variety in sentence openers. Too many subject openers in a row can get choppy. Try to throw in some -ings,…[Read more]

@dekreel Well, I was going by the military version. Gamma an Epsilon… I think those are Greek? Or some other version.
I don’t know. That’s just what I’m calling them.

@warrenluther04 Lol. *pats shoulder* There there. You’re only ah… two months late.
LOL Yes you can read it. BUT, you’ll probably have to wait a bit until I’m done with this round of edits. Then, I’ll ask for another round of beta-readers (charlie-readers). But I will need that kind of people, so I’ll be sure to tag you if you’re available…[Read more]

So recently (okay, not recently). For the past TWO novels, I’ve been really focusing on the show don’t tell thing. That in itself is all right. I don’t know how to do otherwise now. However, it creates another sort of problem.
Choppiness.
Due to the fact that I’m not exactly writing a school essay and transitions such as ‘furthermore’ won’t…[Read more]
