hey everyone! I just bought three new books and I plan on reading them soon. I wanted to see if anyone of you had read any of these, and if so, I would appreciate any warnings of questionable content. Here they are:
Defier, by Mandy Fender
Swipe, by Evan Angler
Last Light, by Terri Blackstock
btw, is anyone on Goodreads?

Happy Library Lovers month! (yes, it’s a legit holiday. seriously.) Library Lovers day is on February 14th! ❤
Btw, everyone, there’s a Goodreads giveaway going on for King’s Folly (Jill Williamson) and The Evaporation of Sofi Snow (Mary Weber). About 72 days left for King’s Folly, but only 7 for the Sofi Snow one.

Hi All.
A friend of mine started a Christian website called ‘For the Faith’, and asked me to write articles for the ‘blog’ section.
So. A bunch of you have blogs, and I want advice! Neither of us have run a blog or website before, but I’ve read/followed a lot, and my sister has had one, so I have some idea how it all works. Also I know a lot of…[Read more]

@catwing If you want to look at some blogs for formatting, I would recommend Jane Maree’s at janemareeauthor.com.au. She posts a two times a week I think (@jane-maree please correct me if I’m wrong) she has a nice looking blog. Then there’s @mariposa ‘s at thetinytealtypewriter.com. Katie Grace at awritersfaith.blogspot.com. Those last two have…[Read more]

I’m thinking about starting/rebooting a blog.
So if you have a blog I would like to look at it to get ideas (formatting, scheduling, etc.)
I’m thinking about doing a serial story and some comics on mine. Or something like that.
But before I make it I want a plan!
Do you have any advice?@dragon-snapper @seekjustice @rochellaine @winter-rose @jane…[Read more]

Okay, y’all…..
I’ve gotten together a rough blurb of my dystopian novel. very. rough. Lemme know what you think:
Independent teen Rin Adachi lives with the Outcasts. Those tossed aside by the government and society as unfit for city life. The diseased, the…[Read more]

@mariposa Seriously. All these songs….
And that collage. O.O I wish to now read this book. Is it kinda like Jurassic Park/World, or something else. Was there time travel??
@daughteroftheking That quote. Is. So. Poetic.

@mariposa How neat! The pic on the top left is insanely cool.
And here’s yet another one for my villain. *silencing complaints from other characters about how unfair it is that Georgia gets two collages and they don’t* Surprisingly, Georgia is my most cooperative character. Go figure.

@skredder That makes sense. It’s a snippet of the full-length arc. A teaser to the full-length story. Okay. *nods* That gives me a new perspective on this. Very helpful! Thank you.
@mariposa I really like the idea of doing the same kind of arc on a smaller level. It gives a hint of the overall story, but it’s not as huge or a really big…[Read more]

I’ve been desiring more and more to figure out how to write short stories, but it seems so…complicated.
So on someone’s blog, they are doing a short story contest. Here’s the link, if anyone’s interested:Â https://jesusisworthitall.weebly.com/for-writers/beauty-for-ashes-story-contest

Jenna Terese started the topic First/Third person and switching POVs in the forum Plotting 6 years, 9 months ago
With my current WIP, I wanted to have three third person POVs. But as I’m continuing to outline and piece the plot together, I’m thinking that it really only needs one main POV. I really love first person, so that was what I was gonna do. But there is another character that I wanted to be a POV character. My question is: would it seem right in a…[Read more]
