@Sarah-H Oh, I know. That’s very inspiring.
How did Henty know he was right? I though there was very little known about Wallace—most of his history just came from a ballad?

@Sarah-H Nope, I haven’t read that one. I don’t like Henty all that well either. 😛 What makes it one of your favorite books if you’re not a Henty fan?

Wowy for you, @Dragon-Snapper! Your first novel—yeah, I bet it is exciting!! What genre is it?

*gasp of wonder* They let dragons into college?? Will you major in phone repair? 😀 😀
I don’t think I’ll be much help here, ’cause I’m not planning to go to college.
Buuuut…if this may help at all…the president of Liberty University does not have my respect. You’ll know why if you like to keep up with the news…

@Sarah-h It’s a partly fictionalized William Wallace story. If you read it, it should mostly be for Edwin—he’s the best character in there. 😀 And I don’t think he was even real 🙁 🙁
The story was good, as I remember, and there were several well done minor characters; Wallace is pretty much Mr. Perfect though. 😛 (Not quite like the Wallace in…[Read more] -

@Bluejay @Sarah-h
Hmmm…maybe I should do some more research. I think we have a book by the man himself, but I haven’t read it due to reports from at least one other family member it was boring. I don’t like boring things. 😛 That was awhile ago, though. Maybe I’d like it now.
But I do think that the Fess Parker movies, Tessa, are at least…[Read more] -

@Daeus that’s great!!! I love combination spoofs.

@Bluejay Yes, I’ve seen all those movies! He’s great in all of them. And I know! Georgie’s hilarious.
Oh, the real Davy Crockett was a decent person, as portrayed by Fess Parker?? Well, that shows you how much I know. 😛 I thought I remembered doing some research on him and not being very impressed…maybe I’m remembering wrong. Where do you know…[Read more] -

@Bluejay Yes I have! It was a while ago, but I remember liking it very much. That was the first John Wayne one I watched, I think. Hilarious!!
I may have only seen him in two…that one and The Alamo, off the top of my head. But I did not like him in The Alamo. He was playing Davy Crockett; I much prefer Fess Parker’s version. Have you seen…[Read more]

@Bluejay Huh. Mostest interesting. I don’t hate John Wayne, it’s just that he always plays himself, so it gets kind of old. Nice, a happy ending. That’s gotta count for something. 😀
Um…a crack-shot, maybe?

@Anne-of-Lothlorien I haven’t either. Is it good even though he died?
But guys, even though they ruined Kili in the movie with Tauriel, they did deepen his relationship with Thorin and Fili and Bilbo!! Doesn’t that count for something? I love that aspect, even though it wasn’t in the book. Doesn’t anyone else think so?

Emma Flournoy replied to the topic I Need a Title in the forum Short Story Critiques 9 years, 6 months ago
@Dragon-Snapper I think @Daeus meant it as a reference to that song. 🙂
@Anne-of-Lothlorien, I think that would be a really good one, with “I’ll Fly Away” being the song the boy sings.

Yep, British period dramas (but not Pride and Prejudice and the Zombies. 😀 ) Have you seen any? I’d definitely recommend North and South, though if you’re a sci-fi geek that might not be your sort of thing. 😛

@R-E-P Yeah, the way you incorporated the Leviathan passage was neat. 🙂
I only found a few misspellings: common place=commonplace, sir-coat=surcoat, and a foot=afoot. Also when you use the word ‘it’s’, as in ‘it’s place’, you shouldn’t have an apostrophe. If you do, that means ‘it is’. That took me a bit to learn, since other words use…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy Well yay, I’m glad you like it here so much! You add a lot of fun to the group, in case you didn’t know. Especially that first time when you hijacked Kate’s account. 🙂

Aww, thanks Sarah. 😀

@emma-flournoy
Yay! I’m glad you’ll be on here more. 🙂 You have a lot of insightful writing comments and critiques, and like @sarah-h said, this group of KeePers wouldn’t be the same without you. 😉-
Thanks Greta. That really means a lot. 🙂
I won’t just be on here ALL the time–I am trying to work on making sure I use my time in the wisest way I can—but I will be posting more that just very seldom. 😀
Thanks again. 🙂-
You’re welcome!
I know…I need to work on using my time wisely. 😛 I don’t always use it very wisely, and I’m trying to get better at that. 🙂-
@emma-flournoy I’m glad you’re going to be on here more often.
Hey, I’m editing the GC at the moment and some of your comments are so funny. I love the ones about Jenz. 🙂
Plus, you’ve made me do some serious thinking on certain plot points.-
Thanks, Tessa. 🙂
Oh good, I’m glad they’re funny and helpful. I like that combination. 😀
And I loved writing the ones about Jenz. 😛 -
I was surprised to read at the end that Lucas was your favourite character.

-
Err…you know I was joking, right? 😛 @Bluejay
-
Well…I kind figured that, but it was a bit hard to tell. You see, I knew Jenz was your fav, and then you go and say Lucas is. Maybe I should have warned you that I am the type of person who takes everything seriously. 🙂 But I can laugh at myself when some looks at me and says, “Um it was a joke.” 🙂
Does that make any sense at all? 😛
@emma-flournoy-
Well, I thought I’d said Jenz was my favorite enough that you’d know I was joking…Lucas was my least favorite. 😛 Sorry… 😀 Glad you’re not offended. 😉
-
Haha. No worries. That clears that problem up. 😉 I have finished going through and fixing up the Golden Conch with your critiques. Would you like it back to read it again? And to red text again? 🙂
@emma-flournoy-
Yes I would like to read it again! Do you want me to red text again? 😀
