We watched that movie so many times, I… Well, I don’t know how to finish that sentence because I can’t recite the movie or anything, but we watched it a lot. XD

@loopylin @whoever
I’m going to be completely honest. When I roleplay, I try to keep as much consistency as possible with the personalities because otherwise it’s too confusing for other people. This ends up causing issues though, because I might change things canonically, but leave everything the same in a roleplay.
This kid Seb has changed…[Read more]

That does in fact look like a quality book. 🧐 But nevertheless, this topic is designated for the boring books.
*Hands you some snacks so you don’t complain*

Yaayyy!! Yes, I have!! And I’ve read most of her books, I think. It’s been a long time, but the memories just suddenly flooded back into my mind this evening. Flora & Ulysses has got to be her strangest book. XD

Seb
“Oh, that.” Seb prodded his forehead with a sponge, which he figured would be the least painful prodding tool. The throbbing beat which had kept him company the entire day had disappeared in his sleep.
Normally he would try to think of something smart to say. His shoulders dropped, and he looked around for a few moments before he…[Read more]

A flame has been relit in my soul. I think I can confidently say that DiCamillo was one of the top influential authors in my childhood, and if you haven’t read some of her stories, you should. Her books have won many awards, and have a distinctly melancholy voice. Her most popular books are probably Tale of Despereaux, Flora & Ulysses, and The…[Read more]

How close are your character personalities to the real person? I can’t say I make a one-for-one imitation of the person. Recently I was inspired by a friend’s hyper deliberateness in friendships and used that as a trait, but I used barely anything else.

Some art from the National Gallery when I went there recently. Sigh, my camera is not good, but it is one of my favorites.

That reminds me of a really cool, sweet mom at church (one of my favorite people) who approached me with a YA fantasy book. A friend of hers, whom I didn’t know, had written it and wanted some feedback from teenage girls.
I and my friend read it, and we coincidentally had one favorite character that stood out. She was…[Read more]

“I think that’s perfect,” Eddie said.
Blackjack dropped his spoon and shook himself off, ficking soapy droplets onto the children’s faces. Then he settled down on a dish drying mat and rested his head on his paws.
Ellie did her work a lot more cheerfully now that Seb…[Read more]

Hey that sounds way more developed than when you originally had the idea! I remember when you started getting hyped up for it. I like the structure, even though I haven’t read Lunar Chronicles, so you could have pretended it was your idea and I would have never noticed. XD
