Ohh @itisastarrynight you cannot imagine how helpful this is for me. It’s like the biggest AHA moment ever. Okay. Thank you, thank you, a million times over. Everyone’s advice is finally making sense. That MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. Seriously. You’re totally awesome now. 😉 (not that you weren’t before, but I just got a taste of that awesomeness for the…[Read more]

@aella Sounds like my fourteen year old brother. XD Yeah, just try to make it sound as logical and straightforward as possible.
I asked my brother for advice, and he said that what he found logical and made sense was the story-structure database on KM Weiland’s website. Because it probably uses books/movies that he is already familiar with. And…[Read more]

@gh24682468999 I am getting into writing short stories right now, so I want to see what advice everyone else gives you. 🙂
Yeah, I would advise not really making the world super developed, and with lots of back story and such. With the setting, I really don’t know. It possibly could add a lot, and be important to your story, but I’m really not…[Read more]

@itisastarrynight Nice! What is your WIP about? I love fantasy so much. And a homeschooler too. Totally awesomeness! KP does seem pretty great. 🙂
@emily-d I love literature, English, and grammar. That is just the best part of it. How about you? I do like animals! Especially cats. Yes, animals are pretty cool. I love horses, dogs, and birds.…[Read more]

@jenwriter Sorry I didn’t see this before! Yeah, I think it would be awesome, even though it’s been done before, with the whole mark of the beast thing. I love the idea.

@jenwriter17 I definitely think it could be done. If you’re writing in first person, I wouldn’t recommend it. But in third person, I think it would totally work! 🙂

@mariposa this is perfect timing, because I’m basically at the same spot as you trying to set up an email list! I’m probably going to give a free collection of poems, or a short story to my subscribers. Neither is written, so I should get working on that. 😉
What I would recommend for you…since I know you’re an artist…and I would LOVE to…[Read more]

Ooh. I totally love this idea! @inkling-for-christ
Would being a dreamer put him in danger, or do people just look down on him for not being “smart” like the rest of them, or interested in the same things? I guess I’m saying, to what level is he not accepted? Are dreamers put in prison? Is it illegal? Does his family reject him? Does he write…[Read more]

@rochellaine SAME! I love meeting new people, but they have to come up to me first. (or I have to work up the courage to approach them, which usually doesn’t happen.)
And welcome, @jenwriter17, even though I’m newer here than yourself! 🙂 And I’m already getting to know you a bit.

@mariposa I just realized your name means butterfly in Spanish! That’s so cool. Idek why it took me so long to figure it out. 😉 Well, I think your hair looks super great short. It suits you perfectly. 🙂 I haven’t had much time to make jewelry lately either. *whispers* Writing has consumed my life.

@jenwriter17 It sounds interesting! It does sound a bit cliche though, with the whole “submit or be in danger” thing. And idk if this thought struck you, but do you remember the mark of the beast in Revelation? It seems quite similar to the idea of people having a chip/card in them that pledges their alliegance to the government.
But I feel like…[Read more]

Hmm…it is a fantasy story, for one. I’m not sure how that could be incorporated, but I’m definitely open to the possibility of God actually being there.
This is all really good to think through though. Would it help to read the story? Idk. Only if you want to.
