he was on his feet before the cushion had left Dante’s hand and he snatched it out of the air, flinging it to the side and bringing his hands up, ready to attack.

I love the mental picture of him in the corner on a chair and just falling out of it…. (picture that comes to mind is the scene with the cost guard in It’s A Wonderful Life XD)
