    Hello everyone! I’m back!

An update regarding my writing. I was reflecting on the things I write. My goal in my writing is first and foremost to glorify God. But I’ve realized I have let the fantasy side of my writing become an idol to me. I admit I let it become enough of a problem that it was leading to sin. After talking with my dad about this, I decided I need to stop and take a break from fantasy and focus more on seeking after God.

Now some of you are wondering: does this mean the end of The Narrow Path Trilogy?

No, it does not. This is still a story I thing has potential to it and I know those of you who have read my first two books have quite enjoyed the story, world, and characters and would encourage me to continue with them. I just need to unplug from it for a while. I have literally boxed up everything in my room relating to it and put it on a shelf where it will sit for a while. I plan to return to it once I am wiser and stronger in my faith and more certain that I can write it in a way honouring and glorifying to God. You are just going to have to be patient while I figure this all out, even if it takes a few years.

So in the meantime, instead of writing fiction, I would like to focus on developing my theology and understanding of scripture. I’ll still be on here and willing to help critique stories, though I may back away from any fantasy and science fiction projects until I am ready. I may also be writing essays on topics I’m exploring and ask your thoughts on those. For my drawings, I may try drawing something other than characters, like buildings and landscapes, instead.

Anyway, that is where I am at now. I look forward to returning to Kingdom Pen again and helping you with your projects!

HI!!! I was so shocked when I got a notification from you. haha! Glad to have you back!
I can totally see where you are coming from and I actually respect it. Though I’m eager to see what happens with Alan and the gang, I totally understand.

Anyhow, glad to have you back!

Let me know if you ever have time for some critiquing…. 😁

    • Glad to see you’re back! I know I wasn’t reading your project, but I understand where you’re coming from. Feel free to take as much time as you need, and if you don’t want to finish TCoH right now, that’s totally fine. I don’t want to be a stumbling block to you or anyone else, so please know if you need to take time away from that as well, I completely understand.
      Regardless, welcome back to KP!

      • Don’t worry, I will return to reading TCoH. The thing that was causing me to stumble is something that usually only appears in fantasy books. Science fiction is the only other genre I know of it could appear in. Your book is fine. There was nothing of that sort in it, so I will pick it up again and continue reading.

    • Hi! I’m glad you’re back! Though when I saw your name in my email, I thought you’d created a topic for Book 3. 😢 But I understand why you need to take a break from it. Anyway, welcome back!!!
