There is crimsoninkmedia.com, a website run by a gentleman in my church. However, this is less of a website for Christian authors to connect and more for sharing your work. I also don’t know if he intends to open it up to people he doesn’t know personally. I also don’t know how well he is maintaining the website right now. He…[Read more]

Started reading through your book, but have some confusion. I had started to read something you were working on around August and September last year before you decided to take a break. Is this the sequel you are working on now? Could I get the link to finish the first book please before I read the next?
I noticed you have…[Read more]

Sure, I can. I’m taking a break from my own WIP, so I definitely have some time to read through it. The link is the one on your profile page?

Sorry, I forgot about your question regarding a book that turns into a fantasy book part way through.
I haven’t read A Series of Unfortunate Events, but I have read some other books where reality becomes fantasy. Here are some ideas for you for your foreshadowing:

So what chapter are you on right now?Â
TNPT: The Cost is now finished. 34 chapters + a prologue and discussion questions. I’m just getting feedback for now before I start working on Book II.
Also how are you so brave?! I would be so scared that people would judge my writing. That’s why I stoped with the short story I was sh…

Sorry, just saw this now. I haven’t been able to read it for a bit with school picking up now. Sorry, hopefully at some point I’ll catch up.
That’s okay. If your too busy don’t feel like you have to read this. Thank you for letting me know where you are.

Reading it right now! Sorry, I’ve gotten behind. I’ll let you know my thoughts once I’m done :]
Awesome! Thank you!
Don’t know if I’ve said this before, but the way Lyens name everything is hilarious XD
Sometimes, limits bring out creativity. I was struggling to come up with names for them, other than the names I am currently using, so…[Read more]

Thank you very much for your feedback!
Research the cultures you’re using for your creatures as much as you’re comfortable with.
Good idea. Thanks!
It drives me crazy when authors put huge cliffhangers in the ends of their books and then we have to wait 2 years for the next one. (looking at you, Keeper of the Lost Cities….)
Two years?…[Read more]

How long do you want before I start posting the next book?
A month should be fine. But if you want to start posting earlier, that is also fine; I will catch up when I am ready.

Okay👍
(Also, apparently I am not allowed to just post a thumbs-up emoji with your tag, because I have already done that. Weird)

If you’re talking about CWW, no problem, it’s an optional challenge. :] You should tell your sister, though, that nobody actually shares their stories on the community. You only count up your words and submit the number each time you write. So her project wouldn’t be shown to anyone.
Yes, I did mean the crazy writing week. I don’t…[Read more]

@janellebelovedpig @whalekeeper
I looked at this and showed my sister, but I don’t think either of us will be doing it this year. My sister doesn’t feel ready to share the project she is typing up and her WIP she is writing on paper. I would also like to take a break from writing and focus on some other things.

Just wondering if either of you are still reading through TNPT: The Cost.

I read your to-magic-or-n0t-t0-magic document and it seems to me that there are more reasons for including it than excluding it. At this point all you’ve got to do is evaluate whether or not the reasons for excluding spell images are so strong that they cancel out all of the numerous reasons to include it.
I dunno, it’s a hard cal…

You could maybe play off the fact that kentors naturally avoid confrontation. Although Tyn wants to face conflict directly, she might still be avoidant without realizing it.
Hey, that’s a good idea. There are already some inconsistencies in Tyn’s character that she is unaware of. This would fit her well.
I knew he wanted out of the…

Finished it!
I’ll get to answering your feedback questions later. I may take a month to reread the story again first. (*Goes and steals all sections of the book so I can read them offline*).
But for now, here is some initial feedback on the last bit:
I think the climax and the build-up to it were well done. As cliche as rescue…[Read more]

hmm. Okay, do you think I should take out that part in the letter? Or should I just leave it and let the reader be happy that they guessed a plot twist or else shocked that they didn’t see it.
One more thing I should mention. Another reason I saw this is because I took a break between when Amelia first starts feeling unwell and w…[Read more]
