Hey @that_writer_girl_99,
I’m super excited about this new doc I created yesterday and I really want to share it with someone! It’s a brief sketch of all of my current WIPs. I’ve never really done something like this for any of my works before and just seeing all of them typed up has got me so pumped! Anyway, I just wanted to show someone. Here’s…[Read more] -

Hey, I just realized somethin’ pretty obvious but still pretty crazy. I wanna be a writer, right?
Um, Gracie, that’s obvious.
Yeah, well I just had a thought about that: I chose a career where reading books and watching movies is mandatory. I mean, srsly?! That is absolutely hilarious! XD My homework is literally: read this book, watch this show…[Read more] -

@DelightinLife
Okay, I’m back with another book. 😀
Lotsa people hereabouts have probably heard me mention The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge. Well, here’s why I love it so much: the settings it uses.
Reading this story, I fell in love with fantasy, and I realized that, as fantasy authors, most of us have the freedom to create enchanting…[Read more] -

@jess-penrose This outline works a lot better! Two comments! First, it’s unclear–at least in outline form–how he better brings about justice by staying in London. Is there a bad situation there that he needs to try and rectify? Second, he seems to too easily switch from the second EiL to the third. your “beginning of venn diagram 2” moment seems…[Read more]

@perfectfifths If you’re doing a theme of trust as well, I would begin by creating a focusing question and five different answers for that FQ with regards to your theme of trust. I think that structure works well as a general arc for this kind of theme, though. How do you plan on splitting it up between books? Or, to put it another way, what will…[Read more]

Aw, too bade @daeus. So would it drive you crazy to have a copy of TCoMC that you couldn’t read, or would it be a comfort, because your favorite book was still with you, though unreadable?

Would you rather spill coffee on your perfect manuscript, or have all the edges unevenly chewed off by your dog?
