Oh yeah, and I just wrote my first ever (I think) scene from a female’s pov. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! Actually, I think it was ok, (probably because it was really short) but any tips are goody goody gumdrops.

Oh, hehe, tag thingy forgotten @kate-florunoy

And btw, what’s her name was pretty well done I thought.

w/o any good knowledge on this, I will proceed to ramble – not because I have stuff to say, but because I am wondering what I’ll say. I’m not sure. Maybe I’ll learn something from myself and then I’ll know it betterer.

I am going to recommend something I half stole – like all my bestistest ideas. Try a split test. Write the best character…[Read more]

@hope I used the plugin WCP contact form. I liked it because it came with a captcha and didn’t cost anything.

I have not made a landing page yet because I don’t have my free offer written yet, but I will be working on that shortly.

That’s sweet @hope. btw Draft2Digital will do the formatting for you for your ebook if you want them to. Since I’m planning to use vellum, that doesn’t make much of a difference to me, but it is a neat feature and doesn’t cost anything.

Oops, she tagged you @Daeus. 🙂

Oh and by the way, CONGRATULATIONS @HOPE!

Thanks @Daeus. 🙂

It is a page you create that has one only one thing for viewers to do – generally sign up for an email list. It won’t look like the rest of your website. You specially design it to focus everything on what you are offering (free book) and what you want (email address). There are no links for people to click unless you purposely place them there.…[Read more]

Thanks. I went ahead and got it. It may take me a bit before I read it since I don’t read e-books in the evening and my day time is busy, but I will get to it sometime.

I did take a flip through it though. Smart job putting the email sign up link in there. Just one suggestion. Put some sort of visual there to grab readers attention. It could be a…[Read more]

@hope If you can switch over when it makes more sense, that sounds fine. Before you do that though, hop over to the WordPress.org forum and ask these three questions:

Can I switch everything over to WordPress.org when I want to without losing anything?

Will I be able to put an email sign up form on my wordpress.com website?

Can I create a…[Read more]

hmm, I’m not sure about that. Try googling it.

Site5 and Hostgator are hosting sites. Those are the places you buy your domain name. Once you have a domain name, you can start your WordPress site.

You and I must have been posting at the same time, @Writefury! Yours so made me laugh— that’s the way! More fairies! 😛

‘I stared with wide eyes at him as he half sat, half leaned on the windowsill, the warm sun dancing in playful beams upon his smiling face and burnishing his hair like spun gold.
“Really?” I whispered, leaning forward and clenching my hands on my small knees. “Really? One wish— all my own?”
He laughed and nodded, reaching up one slender white…[Read more]

It can be a bit of trouble sometimes, but if you use the forum, you’ll find most of your problems have an easy fix. Like I said too, whatever you go through, there’s probably a 75% chance I faced it too, so just let me know if you have any problems. Personally, I really like WordPress.

@hope
Unfortunately, I really don’t know much about hosting sites. I thought Site5 was by the year, but maybe it is not. I’m pretty confident I’m only paying $12 a year though, so I assume it is only $1 a month.
