That sounds like a good one Faith. I love thought provoking books. The book doesn’t have to be deep though. The important thing is that it be good for analyzing from a writer’s perspective.

@gretald @faithdk @overcomer Really all that matters is that you think it would be a good book to learn from.

@overcomer You can start by going over to this topic and suggesting a book to do or voting on one already suggested.

Great @faithdk. You can suggest any book you want under the topic “What book are we going to read.”

Hey everyone, I noticed something else about reactions. Before I had stated that a person’s reactions show a lot about themselves. But I also noticed that a person’s reactions can sometimes be used to show more about the person being reacted to. For instance, I just wrote this courtroom scene where I had the prosecuting barrister giving this…[Read more]

So this is where we can all vote on what we want to be the first book we’ll read for our KeePers Author Book Club. You may proceeded to make suggestions, but first, let me just lay down a couple things to consider.
1. Short is preferable. That way more people will be able to participate. Don’t feel like it has to be short thought, that’s just…[Read more]

Oh no! @bluejay. I was thinking of you, but then I forgot. At least you saw the title. Don’t worry too much about LOTR. I didn’t read it till like 6 months ago. Do read it if you get a chance, though. It really is fantastic. It might be good if you haven’t read some of the books. That will give you the perspective of the first time reader which is…[Read more]

@vanna Definitely. Self-publishing is a little scary, but I know traditional publishing isn’t any simpler or any more beneficial. I would have to have a major publishing house take me up to go traditional. I love self-publishing because the opportunities are simply vast and I think it’s (at least in the long run, could be in the short run too)…[Read more]

@gretald Yeah, that’s fine. This is a service to KP writers, not a top secret society that you commit your life to. I’m generally going to be encouraging shorter books so people will have a better chance of fitting at least some into their schedules.

Actually, that might be a tad too complex for a short prompt… write a scene that begins this way instead: ‘The dragons who lived downstairs were up till two in the morning, and the banshee who lived upstairs was up at six doing vocal exercises.’
Or ‘I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Ghosts hate McDonalds.’Your choice. 😉
