This is a great story, @bluejay. Such a creative idea. The arguing between the author and Princess Tess is hilarious! Great job! 😀

I paused and crouched beside the remains of an old building. The loose rocks crumbled as my shoulder brushed them. I ground my teeth in frustration. This job needed absolute silence. The rain made things hard to see, but I knew that any further and I’d go over the edge of the cliff.
Quickly I scanned the skies for my transport. A flutter of wings…[Read more] -

Oh yes @Belegteleri and @Daeus, I do that ALL THE TIME. Especially the ‘being interviewed’ one— I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve done that and on how many different topics. 😛

@daues I also put myself in imaginary situations. Sometimes I’m being interviewed, sometimes I’m being threatened, the list goes on…
@bluejay Yes, stuffed animals really are the best listeners, aren’t they? And it’s strange that they all have a killing sense of humor, unlike their owner (ahem, me).

Not another one. I know this is my job. But it’s the part I hate, more than the little kid in front of me, clutching his mother’s hand.
“No, mommy, I really don’t want a shot.”
“Listen, Johnny, if you be a good boy and don’t cry, I’ll get you a lollipop.” Great; how I despise these mothers who think that bribery is a good way to get your kids to…[Read more] -

@jadamae I saw in the comments to my story, Princess Tess and the Perfect Story, that you’d love to read the rest. Well, here you go. Enjoy!
Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful princess. Which is how all good princess stories should start. She was as gentle as a lamb, as graceful as a dove and as rich as, well, as rich as could be. She…[Read more]

Oh yes… *blushes embarrassedly* I talk to myself (well, not really myself) all the time. I also find I talk to my toy dog, who I have had for 16 years. He is very good at listening, always patient, never condemns me, or laughs at me, (like some people.) *glances around shiftily* And he does give some really good answers when he’s a mind too.…[Read more]

Reporting for duty. 😛
Yup, I talk to myself all the time. And this trick with colors is actually something I’ve known for a while. Only I usually don’t take it from the colors to the personality— I see the personality, and I assign them the color that fits them. Some can be quite complex mixtures of color, actually— and their color doesn’t…[Read more]

Oh, I believe I forgot to mention that I want to know what you guys talk to yourselves about and anything that you have discovered while talking to yourself that has made an impact in your writing or otherwise. Just curious! 🙂
“Are there other crazy people out there?” *squints and looks around suspiciously*

I was talking to myself last night, and I suddenly came upon the topic of colors and how they make me feel. I’ve heard a lot about how blue is supposed to be a super relaxing and calming color, and red is supposed to be the opposite. I think of colors kind of like people, with very distinct personalities to each. So if you don’t mind, I would like…[Read more]

“Ow!”
A pirates passing me had punched me right in the gut. Aye, I knowed ‘e was playin’, but it still hurt me feelings. And punches hurt! He didn’t even notice that I started a-crying–until he looked back o’er at me. Aye, I hed a bit o’ a reputation for being a “softy.” But, I ter tell yer the truth, I weren’t no softy.
“O’, you just stop…[Read more] -

Great poem @belegteleri. And my mum would love you. She’s always trying to teach us the difference between to and too; your and you’re; its and it’s and so on. (I’m at least getting better. :))

@writefury
Yes, that is good and exactly what I was hoping for! (Oh, the humility…)@daeus
Do you have any suggestions as to this “poetic imagery” you speak of? They would be greatly appreciated.
And also: the grammar nerd in me absolutely cannot resist… It’s you’re. -

That’s so fun, @Rolena-Hatfield! And @Writefury, if I was going to kill him, it’s only fair you make him come back. 😛
I’ll wait awhile and see if anyone else wants to do that prompt, Rolena, then do it myself if it doesn’t get a reply after a bit. 🙂 -
