Koshka replied to the topic What are some interesting things you've learned through story research? in the forum Topic of the Week 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Some of these were more “research inspired by books” than research for books.
- Dead bodies can bleed at the mouth and nose if moved after the blood pools.
- Although black was a much sought after color of fabric in the middle ages, we don’t have many examples that survived to today, as the dyes used to make a solid black were…

Let’s see if I can describe what’s in my head without a picture.
You’ve seen the sketch I did of Silvia’s suit, correct? Well, his has the same basic design and structure (without the skirt of course). Each piece seals on the inside with the next peice, so there’s no openings, slits, or such. The material is a type of layered…[Read more]

AHHH YES Zlati and Vulka are dears. XD
Honestly, I’ve been reworking their story recently (the plot just got another layer of intrigue that I didn’t see coming [Zlati’s plot has been rearranged and he may or may not have ended up in the middle of an assassination attempt on accident…) and I’ve been wanting to rant about it, but…[Read more]

XD that’s hilarious.
It’s a cool picture. And yeah, I get it. If I got a pic that had Leoron’s actual armor I’d freak out, even if the background was a pink balloon arch.

Ahh, that makes sense.
Also, really appreciate the interesting hem on his hood, and I didn’t know they used spandex fabrics in the empire. Lol. These are things I notice. XD
(And why a short clip of The Chosen I saw drove me absolutely batty. I may have to limit my history hobbies for my own sanity. *Sigh*)

Not that breathing holes would be strictly needed, but considering he wears it near constantly, and appears to be a very active individual, I’d expect them.
Anyway….

Interested in which new guy? The prince or Marius.
Again, which kid? The prince, or Marius?
Um, both? Seriously, the possibilities I’m the next few chapters are very concerning to my author mind.
And with what those two kids have been through?! Already? And you haven’t even had much time to beat them up either, no offense.…[Read more]

Oooooo, dark and secretive taken quite literally I see. Very interested in this new character guy. Not surprised the poor kid got hurt.
Where’s this face claim? O.O
And sure! I’m always up to listening through people’s playlists (and maybe borrowing music from time to time).

I wish I was athletic? XD
I like the slight burn that comes from steady running, but side pain tends to come first. I like to bike and hike, but (as some already mentioned) I’m in school and working a desk job. Which means most of the steady exercise I get is daily five-ten minute power walks crossing campus between classes.
As…[Read more]

Splindiferous work!
I just got the cabbage stuck on the stove so we can eat in a few minutes.
Right now I’m wavering between WIPs. Mostly SR (Vulka and Zlati), TC (more recent WIP my sister’s in on), and a semi recent WIP currently without a title that my mom actually started me plotting. There are others, but I’ve basically…[Read more]

Good! I’m lounging around after work, waiting for dinner to finish in the slow cooker and enjoying the fact that I don’t have any homework for the moment.
How’s life?

I’ve used GroupMe a lot. You can create subtopics and stuff like that, but I’m not sure how well it would work for a substitute KP. It’s a group messenging app, not a forum layout…?

Yes! I like how you did Rolf’s story. It didn’t disrupt the flow, but also kept you from an info dump (while still avoiding the confusion of too many flash backs). Well done.
Conrad. *Sniffles* Brave young boy.
One note: Rolf seems to weep a lot in the desert, despite severe dehydration. While I understand him crying, I’d…[Read more]

Yep, one of hers. It doesn’t have a lot to do with the book, but there is an otter who shows up with hisÂ
