@daeus That’s another great point. I know I wouldn’t want to use a curse word from a script. The only time I’ve used what might be considered a curse word in a script was the d-word, but the context it was in wasn’t so much cursing, if you know what I mean? I’m not sure how to describe it, but if I had felt it was cursing, I’m fairly certain I…[Read more]

@clairec So, is it like a big contest to see who says “bestistest” to a new member first???? 😀

@clairec: Aha, well, I don’t recall my family mentioning us ever going to Woodvale Baptist, we’ve actually been out of a church for some years (for various reasons), though we do church at home. I do not have a lot of siblings, just the one brother, @leumeister. I actually only know of one friend who moved to the eastern states and her name does…[Read more]

@julia-r: That’s a pretty name. 🙂 Yes, W.A. is very pretty, especially down in Albany. Also when it’s cooler weather and the grass is actually green. 😀 In summer it gets pretty, stinkin’ hot, and dead. And humid. And hot. XD Unfortunately we don’t get snow in the winter either, and our Christmas is in summer. 😀
I’m happy to answer any…[Read more]

@winter-rose: Thanks! I’m happy with it.
@jess:Now you know (maybe? XD) Welp, I can understand that, because it’s hard enough to learn one instrument, and I think the violin is one of the hardest to learn. Thank you also! (I plan to be more prepared next year – I literally signed up for the NaNo on the first day of November, cuz I had only heard…[Read more]

@daeus Wow, I’ve been tagged! Is that significant? 😀
For me, personally, I wouldn’t use cursing in my own novels, and I, personally, don’t like to see it in the novels I read (unless it’s a made-up curse word that no one knows the meaning of, but sometimes that can seem cheap and shallow). A point I’ve heard somewhere (I believe it was on the Reb…[Read more]

@his-instrument Thank you, I’m very happy with my word count of 31,000, especially since I hadn’t participated before, and every other story contest/challenge thing I’ve ever consider taking had much smaller words counts. One Christian story contest only allowed 1,750 TOTAL. That’s MAYBE a chapter for me. XD I didn’t end up entering anything…[Read more]

@his-instrument & @winter-rose Oh my goodness! Congratulations! That is so impressive! I’ve only gotten to 31,000-something words, and that’s in one and a half novellas or something like that. 😀

@clairec: Yep, Perth area, but I’m not going to get any more specific than that. 😉 Also, my bro and I LOVE Studio C! We haven’t been anywhere else in Australia, unfortunately, but we have been to the States for Christmas in 2004 (my Dad’s American)

@sarah-h: Thank you! That is so encouraging! I’ve always felt there’s not enough Christian fiction (namely fantasy, which is a lot of the time so dark and evil), especially for young adults/teens, and instead of sitting around mulling about it, I wanted to do something! It looks like everyone on here has the same idea, and it’s wonderful that so…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy: I like the Gothic scripts, too. I often go searching for fonts to use in my stories. My favourite site is FontSpace. Everything is free, and I always download the ones that allow for personal and commercial use.

@kate-flournoy: Wow, that’s awesome! I can have fairly nice handwriting (when I really, really try!) but most of the time I specialise in cacography. 😉 My mum has reeeeallllly nice handwriting, and she makes amazing looking fonts. 😀
