@aratrea Ah, right. Sorry.
His experiment in living is that man’s value consists in his name, and his name consists of his actions. Everything he does, he does with his name into mind. In his mind, if he fails, then he loses his name, and if he loses his name, he loses his worth.
The focusing question is: Of what does a man’s worth consist? T…[Read more]

This is a positive arc for a character in a fantasy novel of mine.
Characteristic moment: Shows protagonist discriminated against because he doesn’t have a family name. He is struggling to gain a name through his own actions.
Mash 1: Being told he has a name. He feels he didn’t earn it and doesn’t deserve it. He hasn’t proved his worth and m…[Read more]

@Kayla-Joy Hello. Pleased to meet you. *sweeps bow*
And trilogies… those little things. *chokes on insane laugh* I’m currently working on a futuristic/dystopian trilogy. 😉 I’d love to help, if I could. Google docs or email would probably work the best… I don’t get on here as much as I used to, to check things, for time reasons. 😉

Also, if anyone needs a new playlist, please let me know. I’m always on spotify finding new music and I love sharing it. Maybe you have a very particular mood you are looking for. I actually shared my Film Inspiration playlist on the KP profile. It is a collection of songs that I felt best described the mood and genre of a feature film I am…[Read more]

@aratrea Can I post a character arc for each lesson, or should I just stick to the character I’ve been working on so far?

@aratrea My answer is similar to my last one as well. One thing I have noticed in my own life is that it takes repetition. It takes a series of events to change; there isn’t generally one event and then I accept whatever the change might be wholeheartedly. The same is true with characters. There will be events that make them doubt, and then each…[Read more]

@daeus Oh, are you publishing it on Amazon? My friend did that just yesterday.
I think I’ll pass on the email thing, sorry. But I’m still super excited for your publishing! 😀

@daeus Congratulations on getting it published! That is super-exciting!
*reads synopsis* Ooh, I remember when you posted that before to get help at editing it 😀
I’m just wondering how getting the advanced copy and giving a review would work? 😀
Congrats, again!

@mark-kamibaya, if you or anyone else has suggestions for new songs to add to lists, please feel free to share them here and I’ll do my best to add them on Spotify. Not everything is on spotify, but I’ll do my best.

Gosh I’m late. Still, I extend the warmest welcome into the Kingdom! Also, thank you for introducing me into the fascinating world of Enneagrams. I think I’m a type 9 or 2… will have to look in this further.
I’ve read all 60 of the original Sherlock stories (which I love. Can you tell?). My favourite was The Dying Detective- short but brilliant!

@daeus Yes, something like that. The second half of the disillusionment arc is really the first part of her positive arc (because who would ever decide to start simple when branching from a single book to a trilogy *glares at self*). And yes, her trying to save everyone is an outward manifestation of what she is working through inwardly.

@Aratrea The second experiment in living is built off the first. In the first, victory is merely defined by keeping everyone she loves safe. In the second, she has added an element of physical freedom and the overthrow of tyranny as qualifications for victory because she is convinced that the original goal of safety for those she loves will never…[Read more]

This is the protagonist of a trilogy. She goes through a disillusionment arc through the first two books, then has a positive arc in the final book. I’ve done some major work on her arcs recently, but some points might still need to be straightened out.
Beginning: Protagonist starts by believing that good will always win and victory…[Read more]

Though not dramatic enough for most books, a series of teaching and reasoning can change people. Generally, I’ve found that a repetition of pounding the same point home in different ways, by different people, and being able to see the logical reasons for why I should change as well as the threat of the results if I do not change, can cause a…[Read more]
