@jane-maree @kate-flournoy @daeus Well, I’m done for tonight. I finished the tale, the rough draft, at least. All that’s left is to edit it.
Nobody give @aratrea a frog! 😛 Actually, Daeus, the frog gave you ice cream in the story. -

@daeus Yes, your Majesty. 😉
@kate-flournoy I’m not quite sure how you’d go about doing that, but if you insist. (I do plan to post it, as soon as I make Daeus not so grumpy all the time in it) -

@kate-flournoy Both. I’m writing, and handing out pizza. Pizza’s awesome. Actually, I’m finally finishing that story I started so long ago, about @daeus as king. So close to being done. 😛 There are so many parts of it though. Should be 7 or 8 when I’m done.

@kate-flournoy Awesome. Go for it, friend! I think it went into backwards hibernation seeing as spring starts tomorrow. I haven’t had anytime, but I did this late last night. (I hope this works. I used to do photos through facebook but it’s a long story)

@jess @ethryndal That is helpful: thanks!
@kate-flournoy Magnets. I like magnets. Thanks for the idea. (hehehehe)
@jane-maree The nice thing about not knowing what you’re doing is that you get to wing it. 😛 And I do have the world and plot set up, actually, I just have to know if there is any rhyme or rythm to sci-fi in itself. Thanks though!…[Read more] -

Does anyone have any experience in writing science fiction? I’ve recently begun to write a sci-fi book, but it is my first attempt, and I’d appreciate any input you all can give me. And also book suggestions that are good sci-fi examples. Anything you can tell me is welcome. But if you want specificities, I’d like to know how to describe mechanics…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy Ah–I missed your original comment saying it’s Method #1. I think it depends on how you view it. Now that I think about it a bit more, they probably are both versions of Method #1. From a plot-based standpoint, they’re more Method 2, but from a theme-standpoint they’re likely both Method 1. Which is actually a really nice way of…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy Ah; nice. I like that. Moving characters from extremes to a middle ground is a really good way of implementing Method #2.
