@kate-flournoy
OL is an ordered list. first press it.- Then LI for the first item. Again to end that line.
Once you are done you press OL again to end the code.
You can have it start at a certain number if you do the start code I posted about.
I think if someone doesn’t end the code it messes up that thread page.
Does that make sense? -

Hi KeePers,
I just got a cover design for a short story I’m writing and I wanted to get your feedback on it.
I personally am very happy with the sharp, clean design, but I do think there’s room for a tiny bit more detail. I’m thinking maybe I should add some very subtly ominous feature, but I’m not sure what that should be. Or maybe the…[Read more]

Guys. I have a question.
When you know that a book is a fairy tale, what do you automatically assume will happen? What direction do you expect the plot to go, what kind of characters do you expect to meet, what plot twists do you expect to happen, etc?
For instance, I always assume there will be a romance.
Also, I wouldn’t mind hearing all the…[Read more]

@Dekreel I agree with everything @kate-flournoy and @jane-maree have said so far. Writing on paper is a good idea for the first draft. In fact, that’s what I’ve done for a lot of my novels. I write the first draft in a notebook and then edit it as I type it up.
I know it can be hard to fight those perfectionist urges, but honestly it’s a bad idea…[Read more] -

@kate-flournoy, @dragon-snapper, @daughteroftheking, @jane-maree, @that_writer_girl_99,
@any other eloquent advisers?As some of you probably know, I have been working on a novella, but I have a problem. When I write, everything has to be perfect, so I constantly go back and revise the stuff I’d already written in the novella; I’m not moving…[Read more]

@emily Didn’t Jane Austen write Pride and Prejudice, or is that a different one?
@jessi-rae I think I might have read part of the first book from the Door Within! Doesn’t it involve a boy (I think his name was Aidan) who find three vases in his basement and then goes on an adventure with a dragon? With a king he read about in…[Read more]

I don’t think there is a forum like this in here! Either that or I just haven’t looked thoroughly enough. That’s totally possible. 🙂
Anyway, what is/are your favorite book(s)?
Mine are:
All Things Bright and Beautiful by James Herriot
The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson (a series of four)
Night by Elie Wiesel
Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine…[Read more] -

@jess I honestly don’t know what I’m doing. In my own writing. I don’t know how I would help you except for this one question: Is it BMA your OYAN or Crown of Ice. Because I agree with @kate-flournoy make the world seem better than she left it (if it’s BMA). Sure she doesn’t get what she wants but her actions have been very…unseemly to the HS.…[Read more]

@Ingridrd
Like what @kate-flournoy said. It’s adorable and comfortable. Unlike Toy Story though, which I love, the stuffed animal only interacts with the girl and it keeps it’s childlike mindset, innocent, content, and curious. -

*gasps* *runs to tackle-hug the dozen or so Webkinz in her closet*
Anyway. Enough of my antics. @ingridrd The story does, as @kate-flournoy mentioned, give off a sort of Toy Story vibe, but there’s a sort of open-ended thrill to it that almost begs for more. And I love, love the way you wrote “Pubby”. The childlike, wondering sort of style with…[Read more]
