Yes! Please take a minute (preferably at least five minutes) to come before the Throne and find rest in His peace. We don’t have to worry because we know that God has everything under control. Maybe, through some mysterious twist of fate, this election will improve America. However, sometimes, it was God’s plan for the Israelites to be defeated.…[Read more]

Amen @julia-r! Thank YOU for reminding me. I’m trying to rest in the Lord, but it’s so hard not to worry. I know that God’s got this. 🙂

@dragon-snapper: Read scripts! You can probably find some online. Like @mark-kamibaya said, learn the format, and create an outline. I know most movie scripts are center-justified, instead of left-justified, like a play script or novel. I would recommend starting by writing a short film, to familiarize yourself with the format and process of…[Read more]

Help!
So, like all of society, I’m a busy person. And when I do get free time, I don’t feel like writing, or I forget that writing is an option (gasp!) . Therefore, I have probably five unfinished novels on my computer, because when I look at them again, I forget exactly where I was going with my story, conversation, or characters. What should I…[Read more]-
Well, 1st off, I suggest reading through your work to get the feel of it, then maybe read through any notes you took. That should get you warmed up.
2nd, you should remember how much fun it is to write, why you write. You seem to be lacking inspiration and/or motivation. Give yourself a little reward for writing something, like a little bit of…[Read more] -
Hi Julia,
Five novels sounds like a lot. If you’re having trouble writing, you should probably shave it down to just one. Maybe you really really prefer jumping back and forth in-between novels, but, in that case, I would still only do two. Hopefully then you’ll be able to remember where you last where.
Your best motivation (and reminder) will…[Read more]

Boy. I haven’t been on in forever.
@daeus– I would give this a 8. It’s a cool idea! Bimonthly sounds great! Suggestion: maybe do the panel on a Tuesday or Thursday night. Everybody I’ve talked to (for other events) are always bored on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and everybody always has something else going on on Friday and Saturday nights. And a lot…[Read more] -

@kate-flournoy: YES I have messed up on tags so many times! When I first joined, Hannah (@hisinstrument) wisely warned me… I guess mentioning the trickiness of tagging people should be mentioned more often when greeting a new member!

@rebelutoinary, also, your travel sounds fascinating! I have never moved, and you seemed to have moved everywhere! What was your favorite place you’ve lived in?

Hi @rebelutoinary! So glad to see another B.R.I.G.H.T. lights girl up here! I have been a member of a group before and my sister (@his-instrument) and I would like to lead another since that former group dissolved. Do you have any tips on starting/leading/activities? I know that group, and the conference, had a huge influence on my walk with God,…[Read more]

@bluejay, @emma-flournoy, @kate-flournoy, @daeus: Okay. I just took the personality quiz with what I thought would be Kylo Ren/Ben’s answers and came up with ISTJ. This is what the website says:
ISTJs don’t make many assumptions, preferring instead to analyze their surroundings, check their facts and arrive at practical courses of action. ISTJ…[Read more] -

@bluejay, @emma-flournoy, @kate-flournoy, @daeus: I found a personality test online:
https://www.16personalities.com/
I dare someone to take it (providing that someone has seen Star Wars VII more than once) choosing the answers Kylo Ren/Ben would select!
By the way, I am INFJ-T.
I will try to take the quiz with Ben Solo answers and put them…[Read more] -

Ohio (as you might remember, I live here too!) has awesome weather. It gives you just the right taste of each season. Warm and sunny in spring, hot enough to swim in summer, cool enough for corn mazes and apple cider, and plenty of snow in winter. My favorite season is spring, because it’s just so beautiful, and my birthday is in spring :). We…[Read more]

@bluejay: I have read Revelation! I hope the Rapture as mentioned in Matt. 24: 41 and Luke 17: 35 happens kind of as Left Behind says it will :). I sure don’t want to be around for the rest of Revelation! Earthquakes and plagues and all manner of awful stuff. Eternity is so confusing! Our feeble human minds don’t have the capacity to understand…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper: Yes, that would totally ruin Rey and Finn. I would like to see them have a brother-sister kind of friendship. But whoever said there had to be romance in this movie? We already dealt with Anikin and Padme, and Han and Leia. Do we need Rey to fall in love? Simple answer:
Nope. - Load More
