Yeah, like I said to Sara, I do get that, but Nedan is so so SO underdeveloped. I would be RPing with little more than a name, a job, and a power. Sure he might develop, but he could become basically anything, and he needs to become a character that’s right for this story. So maybe I will do it some time, (I have considered adding him to sch…[Read more]

Wow. You (and your sister) are amazing at building worlds!
Thanks! As a disclaimer, this is by far my most unique world.
Yeah, characters definitely drive the plot forward, which is why it’s such a problem that most of them are underdeveloped. Those are good points about internal conflict too.
Anyway, you also said you d…

I did list white. Iridescence is a good idea. I’ve been thinking of having the white one be like that.

Thanks, that’s all helpful! A dark red, like burgundy, might be good actually. And I could also try a reddish violet color, because the two purple colors I’m using so far are both more cool purples. (I don’t really like warm purples, so that’s why, but I can’t afford to be picky!)

This is a new topic for my Celestiar series set on Ildin. I don’t know how many books this will be, because I’ve only been working on the first one. Again, as with the Adonial Saga, “the Ildin Saga” is a working name, but not the final one.
I’m switching my attention from the Adonial Saga to this one. I have a couple reasons why. First of all,…[Read more]

For me the struggle is with the lengths of the notes and not the note name. Especially with shorter notes, it’s often hard for me to tell.

I think @HighScribe is correct. It appeared in my notifs, but isn’t here. It should be in your activity though, so you could get it back that way.

I think that is awesome! I don’t have any theological problems with that. I tend to avoid doing robots and stuff, because I don’t believe that such a creation would have a soul, and I would usually rather avoid writing about those topics. I haven’t thought about how that would extend to a human created in a lab. There’s nothing biological about a…[Read more]

Okay, great! I will warn you that transcribing from sound to written music is probably my biggest weakness as a composer, but if you do post it, I will do my very best. I should be able to figure it out given enough time.

I’m not very good at coming up with lyrics, but I like what you have. I also write music, so if you happened to need help with that part of the process (assuming you are writing music to go with the words), I would be happy to give advice. It might help if you arranged the words in lines. That would at least help me see it clearly, because i…[Read more]

So start making a bunch of words for basic concrete concepts, then bonus points if you can ground those concepts in what is important to the locals where the language originated. After that, combine these concepts in all sorts of ways, again in the manner that would be important to the locals. Then you can add a hint of chaos,…

It’s labeled as ‘Ue’ in the picture. ‘Oo’ might be more accurate, but ‘ue’ can make the sane sound. (Think of the word ‘due,’ fore example.)

I don’t like to play with sentient and rational robots, honestly those creep me out. The idea of Alpha being originally a a robot made out of flesh came from me just thinking about him. It was really weird, I was talking as Alpha to his best friend Terry and it just spilled out. I was making it up as I went, but it sounded like it was a set piece…[Read more]
