@Shannon I’ll look into that and see if I can do it. It would be nice to sit in my little corner of introvert-ness and be able to concentrate as I take the test. 😀

@shannon let me give youcan education in Aussie slang, my friend. Bloke is the term for a man. The correct term for a woman is sheila. No idea why.
(But even the most aussie aussies I know don’t really say it so…)
Bloke and mate are both used a lot though.
Thank you. Australia has a really cool zoo in a little town called Dubbo and that’s…[Read more] -

@catwing thank you for the farewell. *tucks chocolates away in pockets of car trip*.
It seems to me that humans don’t run away from things they don’t like, they just pretend they don’t exist, for the most part. I think you’re okay. 😉 -

@salome01w4g the singer was Nick Jonas in Les Mis. We found a lot of the things he did and said quite amusing.
I know! I shall miss you too. But never fear @catwing I’m bringing my editing with me and will work on it during the long car trip. 🙂 -

@daeus Well, the version of a synopsis I know is a maximum of 10 page summary of a book that describes the plot, characters, message, world and the writer’s thoughts. Soooo… I assume these are slightly different things in Australia. That’s all.

Snapper replied to the topic Synopsis Help in the forum Novel Idea Critiques 9 years ago
@daeus
Well, big thoughts is mainly that you should take out the last paragraph, because although you’re trying to appeal with struggles like that, people might not want to think of themselves as weak or cowardly, if you know what I mean. Maybe they know that subconsciously, but who wants to admit that they are a coward? I mean, a Christian might…[Read more] -

@salome01w4g haha yes. I purposely said bloke because you said dude and that’s not really a word we use in Australia.
Yesterday my sister and I were trying to replicate the way an American singer was saying God. I don’t know if all Americans say it the way he was saying it or just his accent or because he was singing… I don’t know. It was funny…[Read more] -

@jess-penrose We call them both.
@josiahdeboer You don’t need to have read the book. Just tell me your gut feelings. Most people, after all, do read a synopsis before they read the book.

Daeus replied to the topic Synopsis Help in the forum Novel Idea Critiques 9 years ago
@everybody Thanks for the feedback! I suppose I’ll tweak some of the wording then get back to you.
@dragon-snapper Both, of course. 🙂
@xonos-darkgrate There are some plot twists, yes, but the story doesn’t stand on its unusual premise. It stands much more on its psychological depth. And, certainly! Go ahead and reword it.
