@anne-of-lothlorien I haven’t, mainly because I’m not sure how I would go about such a thing. Though I have toyed with the idea now and then. Perhaps the speaker would be telling the ‘reader’ about some sort of past they can’t remember and the reader has to become the hero of the story. Hmm, now that could be a cool idea.

Yessssss! People— I love people. I’m not as good at painting them as I’d like to be; still life seems to be easier for some reason, but I love working with people because no two are alike and there’s such room for expression and personality. I love it.

@PerfectFifths good question. The difference between third person and deep third person is that deep third person actually delves into the thoughts of the characters, not just stays on the surface and monitors their actions.

@Anne-of-Lothlorien not me. I mean, I may have done it subconsciously in a few diary entries, but that’s about it. (My diary is a mess of gargantuan proportions from a literary standpoint. Don’t ask). 😛

Deep third person. I write sprawling epics with gazillions of characters, and deep third person works best for those kinds. If I was writing YA or something similar with only one MC, I’d probably choose first for a deep personal connection though.

@faithdk Busy life??? It’s about to get busy for me. I have a kids convention and then a pantomime. It will be fun, but extremely full on. I’m guessing KP won’t see much of me in January. 🙂

@bluejay basically, yes -busy life. 😛 But I am trying to get back into the writing groove again. A few blog posts are really the only writing I’ve done over the past few months, and frankly, it irks me to pieces!
Ooh, that sounds interesting. But I have never heard of a pantomime… what is it exactly?-
A pantomime is “theatrical entertainment in which words are replaced by gestures and bodily actions.” At least that’s what the dictionary says. So basically it’s more about acting your part out. Haha. There are some children involved in the panto who are very young too. I think this year they are making the youngest level 7 years. Thank you, I’ll can tell you about it once it’s done if you like.

@winter-rose I’m done editing. It was good to get that out of the way, although I’m at a bit of a sticky spot as I’m unsure what to do with it now. If you care to read it I could always use new beta readers… 🙂

No, it was an e-course. I think it lasted three months. At the end, you had to submit a proposal for a property design and then if you showed understanding of the material, they passed you. I actually did the Craig’s property. …and they still haven’t even seen the design. Which is fine, since I would need to edit it first.
