@seekjustice Do you mean in horse books that you haven’t seen Americans using those words to describe horses? Or just in general that Americans don’t describe horses correctly?
Because somewhat depending on the part of the country they’re from, or how they were raised, a lot of Americans don’t know anything about horses. Or any animals. I me…[Read more]

But some people are named Colt.
😛 And my first thought was “Some guns are called Colt”
If we’re doing last sentences, then mine was pretty boring too. It was
And then Yishay had been there to meet her.

@catwing Okay, my sentences were all pretty short in the last section I wrote, so I’m going to give two that go together:
“We have not killed your brother, girl. We speak the truth.”
@jenwriter17 @seekjustice Shall we have another word war?
@valtmy Are you home yet?

@seekjustice @catwing @jenwriter17 I got 339 words. What sentences are we supposed to share?
-
valtmy replied to the topic Writers' Corner #21 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 10 months ago
Well that sounds interesting. Maybe you should take a step back and review your plans for your plot and story.
Sorry I’ll have to pass on the word war because I’m not home yet…

@catwing @seekjustice @jenwriter17 @valtmy Or, as Catwing suggests, favorite sentence. I have no preference. 😛

@seekjustice @catwing @valtmy @jenwriter17 So are we having a ten minute word war?
Sure, let’s do the “last sentence” game. 🙂

@jenwriter17 I think we all agree that there is no real competing with Seekjustice in terms of how fast we write.
…but we can all dream. 😀
@seekjustice 😛 But Sir Patrick Stewart was bald first, and he was/is considered one of the most handsome men of his time.
@catwing She didn’t particularly do anything…it was more her brother’s fault. …[Read more]

@catwing What if breakfast tagged you back? Would you invite it over for dinner?
@valtmy Hello! Good question. The more I think about it, the more I’m seeing that the direction may work out very well if I handle it correctly. It just freaked me out because it makes things WAY more complicated! But that can be a good thing, as it might add…[Read more]

Nearly tagging breakfast?? Are you hungry or something? 😛
Hi! Haven’t talked to you for a long while.
How would you know for sure whether the direction is wrong or right? 😛

@seekjustice Please forgive us for abandoning you! 😛
@jenwriter17 @catwing I’m back now.
Are we having more word wars?
Daughter of Judas just took an unexpected turn and I am quite astonished at it. I am also trying to figure out how to turn it back onto the right path because the turn it took was decidedly in the wrong direction. 😉

I do my writing using plain text files because they are light and don’t give lag issues. I currently use Jotterpad on Android and sync it to my laptop using dropbox.

Oh, that’s cool. Does it have research functions (e.g. dictionary, thesaurus check)?
My main concern with using Scrivener is that I know it is not supported on Android so I can’t write on the go unless I keep syncing it somehow.
Hi! Good luck for NaNo! I’m not writing now because I’m just heading off for breakfast so I…[Read more]

Well, we’ll just have to keep each other company then. 😛 How’s it going with you?
Oh, and you’ve been sick? And right when Nanowrimo is starting!

@seekjustice @rochellaine @jenwriter17
Hi… I guess I’m late to the discussion?
-
Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #21 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 10 months ago
@jenwriter17 278 words.
I’ve got to go for a short bit. See you in a while if you’re still here.

@jenwriter17 Sorry, got distracted when I noticed a new Star Trek series had been announced… 😛 So I’ve been texting my brother about that.
How about a ten minute word war?
-
Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #21 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 10 months ago
@jenwriter17 😛
I can word war with you now if you want.
@seekjustice Oh, cool! There’s a classic I’ve read that you haven’t read! 😛 I thought the only classics I’d read that you hadn’t were the Mark Twain books. Usually if it’s a classic, you’ve read it and I haven’t. 😉
Yup that’s it. I think I understood most of the poem, but you pro…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 I think “adulting” is one of the strangest things our generation has come up with. 😛
@seekjustice I saw the Disney Jungle Book movie when I was little, which I know very well is completely different from the book. Unfortunately I’ve not read the book yet. I was about to once, but I forgot or something…maybe I got caught up in a…[Read more]

@seekjustice I haven’t read much of Rudyard Kipling. But I absolutely loved Rikki Tikki Tavi. I actually found him to be quite adorable…which I have a feeling wasn’t the specific purpose of his story… 😛 I’ve read a couple of Kipling’s shorter poems too, such as If. (that is by him, right?) What’s your favorite of his works?
But I don’t th…[Read more]
