I don’t like being super graphic/body horror about it, I just make sure my favorite characters come out of it with a tangible reminder of the incident.

okay but I do agree with you, making the main character miserable is fun. Not so much killing them all the time in my book, but brutally scarring them is what I tend to do.

you lose an eye and YOU lose BOTH eyes and this one get his arm slashed off and this one gets her wings shredded

I use Slack for work, and that might work, but again there would be more limitations on how many channels can be created, and messages disappearing after 90 days.
