But it’s so sad when the favorite character dies!!! And I love crying over books!!
If they don’t die she at least needs to make life miserable for them for a few chapters.
But trauma doesn’t automatically make characters deeeeep… 😫 Actually side note, I’ve been thinking about this topic and we should make a thread for…[Read more]

And not all in the same book too. It’s better if the main characters all go through different things.

Maybe all our writing has come to life and our characters are walking around in different places!! (sounds like a movie or something)
It could be kinda scary if some of my villains got loose. 😂
Lol that would be weird….but also kinda cool. Except for the scary villains haha, I have my share of those.
Now where are my t…[Read more]

I don’t like being super graphic/body horror about it, I just make sure my favorite characters come out of it with a tangible reminder of the incident.

@ellette-giselle You’re crazy girl! Lol
okay but I do agree with you, making the main character miserable is fun. Not so much killing them all the time in my book, but brutally scarring them is what I tend to do.
you lose an eye and YOU lose BOTH eyes and this one get his arm slashed off and this one gets her wings shredded
lol

That’s so insane… 👀
Lately my book has been feeling more real to me, but that’s just because I’ve been fleshing things out more. i didn’t think my characters were ACTUALLY being brought to life. 😳😂

*Slips in* I’ve also met somebody who looks like one of your Hallie faceclaims. 😅 First moodboard, left, with the long red hair. It’s crazy how similar they look. I’ve had this thought since you started using the photo, but never thought to tell you for some reason.

I mean, if I bumped up the year the story takes place a decade or two, it would be even more realistic cuz then she’d be of marrying age!!! 😆
Oh no!! I have some characters from older WIPs that I would not like to meet 🫣😂

I use Slack for work, and that might work, but again there would be more limitations on how many channels can be created, and messages disappearing after 90 days. I also don’t think GroupMe would work very well, from the minimal experience I’ve had with it. I’ve never had Discord, so I can’t speak for that one.
Is anyone on here techy enough to…[Read more]

Most of the research I do for my writing has to do with history… quite often I’ll be writing and then suddenly I’m like hmmmm how did this little detail fit into their lives?
This past week I was researching Christmas traditions in the 1800s, what kinds of gifts people gave one another, and trying to dive into how it would differ…[Read more]
