Do y’all mind if I join? I just ran across this and…um…it looks amazingly awesome! I may not be able to be very active, but I can at least reply biweekly.
I have two characters I’d like to add, if I can. As side characters from Hearts of Gold, they’re wolves originally I’d have to make human. They were o…[Read more]

And here’s the latest thing I’ve drawn: a design sketch for the costume I’m making for a kid’s camp next week.
Plus an example of my scribbled writing which I couldn’t crop out. Nice.

Technique Exercise Challenge
Draw something completely by shadows. It does not matter what the thing is; it could be a person, a hand, an apple, ect.
You can start with an outline of the object, it just needs to not be visible by the end. Every detail has to be shown by shadows or shading.
Any media can be used, wether graphite, acrylic, ink,…[Read more]

Yay! I always love the scene clips from your books!
As for how to move on, it seems like the scene is ready to move into action/ active discription (I have no idea what the real term for that is). Having something happen such as someone/something bump into her could be a good transition, or saying something like “She wove…[Read more]

Actually, I don’t think I’ll have time tomorrow. Instead I’ll probably post it next week, so there’s still a challenge slot open if anyone wants it.

Sounds good to me.
I may submit a challenge tomorrow, if y’all are fine with that. It would probably be for two weeks as I won’t be able to be steady on here untill sometime June.

Those are all awesome ideas!
I’ll likely have time to help you out so don’t feel like your trying to run a one women show lol, and besides it can be fun even if it’s just super simple stuff.
*Gasps in relief and collapses into a chair*
Thank you! That would be wonderful. And true, very true.
I am off to write out a post then…

Something more focused on practice and growth than the art sharing forum and with more accountability for artisticaly flared individuals such as myself who forget the joy of art for months at a time and thus forsake it in…[Read more]
