I suppose what I mean by dark fantasy is anything that is evil, yes, and deal with witchcraft. Since witchcraft is occult and vampires are occult I consider them one in the same.

I said I’m against reading Narnia and possibly even reading LoTR but I’ve watched the LoTR movies. Personally I like the Hobbit movies better.

I didn’t say that. I think when we start getting into the magical/witchcraft part of fantasy that I think it’s wrong. Vampires fall into that category in my opinion. I don’t think it’s necessarily wrong to make things up (world’s, government, historical fiction, etc.) I just think the magical sort of part is. Leave that out and it’s alright.

@Ezra Frankly I am undecided as to whether or not they should be in a story. I don’t know of anyone who would want to read let alone write a story about cannibals or that have them in there.

@Reagan true but those things are all real. When we talk of vampires we are entering the realms of dark fantasy and I’m not sure that’s right.

Ok I have an interesting question for you lot. What is your opinion of cannibalism? Sorry, but I had to ask. Is it good, is it bad? Is it right, is it wrong? Is it evil or is it misinterpreted and could it really be quite a beautiful thing if interpreted correctly?

Same here. I haven’t taken chemistry though. I think I’ll take a small business course this year and then eventually I’d like to take herbology. I already know a good deal about our local wild herbs and I’m interested to learn more.
