Wonderful! I’m really excited about this book. I hadn’t heard of it before the other day but now I’m intrigued. I think it’s a great choice for our first book @daeus. 🙂

First off I love historical fiction as well, in fact, that is the genre of my novel. What is your book about?
Second, L. M. Montgomery and Janette Oke are some of my favorites too. Ever read Janette Okes books about Josh?Tips, tricks, or advice: *New Jersey Gangster accent* Stick with me kid and you’ll go far. Really far.

More reaction = More flavor.
Example:
“Guru approved!” Kate said.
Vrs.
“Guru approved!” Kate stamped the paper with more force than she intended.

@hannah-olsen I am the same way with distractions. However, I think if I nestled into six or seven pillows on my bed I’d start to get too comfortable and fall asleep. XD Welcome to KP by the way!
@gretald @hannah-olsen I live in the country as well so coffee shops are foreign to me although I adore people watching and probably to the extreme (my…[Read more]

Thanks @kate-flournoy! I’ve been writing seriously since August of 2013 and you’re right about improving as you go. I’ve seen improvement in my work and I’ve learned a ton of things since then. So I’m getting there but I guess I’m just an impatient perfectionist. 😀
Write on, everyone!

That’s a good thought. If you fall in love with your characters it might make you a little more eager to create their story. Thanks @daeus!

I’ve written a novel with out planning (certainly not as easy as I thought). I think next time I’m going to do at least some planning before I tackle another book. This was also my first so live and learn.
My problem now is I’ve written the book and am now on the editing stages but I’ve lost interest and it’s become a drudgery.I don’t want to…[Read more]

Ok. I’m going to do my very best to describe the scene and hope I don’t mess it up.
Probably nobody else on here has heard of Counted Worthy by Leah E. Good since she is a very new author and it’s her first book. But honestly, this is easily the most heart wrenching story I’ve ever read. It is futuristic and semi-dystopian. The MC lives in a…[Read more]

@ivy-rose I live on the wet and cold side lol. Right now we’re having spurts of Sun between cold downpours of rain. 😀 Gotta love Washington weather.
Fact: They say in Washington if you don’t like the weather where you’re at then drive 30 miles and you’ll find a different type.
