@rae

I think you’re a bit too hard on yourself, it’s pretty good. Realistic drawing is hard. Sure, there are some things that could be fixed, but that’s how we learn, right?

@anyone

I just finished this map! What do you guys think?

Not super happy with some of the names, I made a lot of the cities up on the spot, but oh well 🤷‍♀️

(the date at the top is a liar, don’t listen to it :p)

Oh, and the collar is totally not good.

@whalekeeper

This is the drawing:

Sorry that it’s lopsided like that. I scanned it into our computer.

So, now you can see, the lightsource is totally off, the hair doesn’t sit right, the features aren’t clear, and jawline is too straight, the beard looks wrong…

It’s a person, just a messed up one.

@theducktator

🫣 that’s scary lol

@highscribeofaetherium

I don’t think that’s necessarily true. Especially if we intentionally keep HF as the main sub genre. Steampunk is actually more of a sci-fi genre than fantasy. Regardless, I don’t think we would get enough votes for that to happen.

@jonas @esther-c

I think if we combined them It’d just become steampunk.

(Also, note that 2 pages back, there were a few votes for AF and one for HF from people that didn’t revote after we implemented the ranking system. It wouldn’t have changed the outcome though, I don’t think.)

@esther-c

Sounds good!

So high fantasy it is!! This will be interesting… 😏 (Although I reeeally wanted steampunk to win… XD)

I also would have been interested in doing steampunk, but I just went with what I’m most familiar with, which is HF.

We could vote on adding a second sub-genre. (Although I’m not sure if HF is compatible with UF.) No seco…[Read more]

@theducktator

I don’t think everyone has replied since we changed to the ranking system, but just counting those, it looks like high fantasy is the runaway winner.

@whalekeeper

Thanks. Now I should be able to sleep tonight…

@whalekeeper

Third question of the day answered! Thank you.

Also, do you put salt on buttered popcorn? Sorry, I like Grapeseed oil and salt on my popcorn which I make at home, so I have no idea what people do with buttered popcorn. And I can’t stop thinking about it.

I don’t have a pic, so I’ll just write this one.

My friends: “Wow, that’s some Tolkien-level stuff!” I have no idea what she just said.

My old drawings used to be stick figures with hair on the sides, smiley faces with a dot nose and an oval body instead of a line…

I’ll show you the pictures probably later today or Monday, just warning you, they look off.

@whalekeeper

Aww, he’s cute.

I should post some kind of thing here, but I’ve basically only got a pencil drawing of Dragotin, a failer of trying to do Tenz, and a slightly messed up Thurston pic. Basically the art version of my writing…

@theshadow

I can see Silvanis  and Callum getting along well with Trevor!
