@daeus Yay! Welcome back!
@graciegirl I like tigers better than lions; they are my favorite animal besides tree frogs. -

@GracieGirl *huge thumbs up*
@Dragon-Snapper No one will kill you (at least not I). But is for your own satisfaction you should read them. 😀
I’ve only read two of those though, so don’t feel awful. 😛 -

@GracieGirl Read Les Mis. It will not disappoint. (Unless you read the wrong version, perhaps. 😉 )
The version I read was a Signet Classic, complete and unabridged version, translated by Lee Fahenstock and Norman MacAfee. Here’s a link, just so you can see which one it is…I’m not sure if we bought it from here or not but am pretty certain it’s…[Read more] -

@Daeus, I have to agree that “a tale of a bittersweet taste” isn’t really in keeping with the rest of the blurb. It’s more like a fanciful way of describing a recipe for extra-dark chocolate cookies, or bestia nera, or something. I do like @graciegirl‘s suggestions, since they seem to make things a lot more concise and finally get rid of that…[Read more]

@daeus I like the sentence change. I do like @graciegirl‘s version too… So, yes. Not much help. Just general agreement…

@graciegirl Oh, boy. That’s a terrible feeling. Yeah, don’t worry a bit. I like getting your critique. It takes a lot to offend me.
As for the corrections, I’ll have to give them some more thought. At the moment, I’m considering replacing the current last sentence with, “In a twist of fate, he is forced to confront the shattering of everything he…[Read more]

Ok, I’m back.
@kate-flournoy @emma-flournoy @northerner @hope @winter-rose @graciegirl.
So what do you think of lingering bittersweetness?
Also, instead of saying, “forced to confront everything he fights for shattered,” do you think it would be better to say, “forced to confront everything he fights for ruined”?

Thanks! She is actually an RPG character, but this drawing was so random, I have no idea where she is or what she’s doing. =P@emma-flournoy
Thank you, glad you like! =D@kate-flournoy
Thanks! The program I use (Clip Studio Paint) comes with some premade textures, so I mix and match my own changes with those to get the look I want. M…[Read more] -

@graciegirl Yes! Linguine to Remmi. One of Pixar’s finest. Which is saying something, because Pixar’s pretty fine overall.

@his-instrument @graciegirl Haha! Yes, it’s Emperor’s New Groove. It’s probably one of my favorites too. 😛

I love this topic! I use a Baby Name Book (paper copy) to find my names, because I haven’t actually found a good website yet (so if y’all have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them).
I’m pretty obvious with my names. Like, guess who is the villain and who is the hero: Grymelda or Cerdic?
I’ve said this before, but I like to look at the…[Read more] -

@emma-flournoy Thanks, but I don’t really want the meaning of yearning, I want the feel it gives you. That emotional code imprinted on it.
@graciegirl Thanks. Btw, The Count of Monte Cristo is my all time favorite novel and A Tale of Two Cities is my second favorite.
The crocodile toe–I was just trying to sell one to Kate. …Though I don’t…[Read more]

Hi Everyone,
I’m working on my book description now and would like your opinion. The first paragraph is one I wrote a while ago and feel settled on, so I don’t think I’ll change anything there unless there’s a glaring error, but the second part is what I’d particularly like your help on. And…*controls explosive laughter* I totally flattered…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper @graciegirl @winter-rose I’ll be working on my book description. Don’t know how long it will take, but I’ll probably be at least a half hour.

@r-j-wordsmith Great! I was able to get a bout of page of notes done. My thoughts are on paper, so I’m happy. 😀
Anyone else, I’m still going, and I should be for a while.

@graciegirl Hahaha! That is too funny! I remember Marisi now. That one was good. 🙂 Too avoid too much confusion, I usually spell their names how they sound, unless of course, that looks terrible (too often). The problem is that I usually envision my books as movies.
