@rjk It would be an honor to be of service. *bows*
And just so you know, I too am a dragon (though you might have noticed that) and I have a knack for melting phones and chairs.

Ha, ask away! @rjk Love talking MBTI or books or story ideas or whatever.

    Hm, I don’t think I’ve ever read that book…

  • Emma Flournoy replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 9 years, 1 month ago

@RJK Les Miserables is my favorite book. (Favorite published one. 😉 My sister Kate’s WIP is close second.) IT’S INCREDIBLE. It’s extremely long—and no you should not read an abridged version—but it’s absolutely worth the time. I recommend it with the highest of recommendations. 😀 If you’re the kind of reader who likes Dickens and other…[Read more]

@RJK yeah… KP is just about swamped with INFPs. 😛 Tied for close second is INTJ, actually, and surprisingly most are women. INTJ women are supposed to be practically nonexistent. 😛

… how much of an MBTI nut are you? Because I’m pretty far gone… but I don’t wanna overwhelm you with random psychology dumps. XD

  • Elizabeth replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 9 years, 1 month ago

Yes! @rjk INFPs for the win! I can relate to what you said– I’m an INFP or an INTP, depending on the day…

*grins* I LOVE love love Dancing on the Head of a Pen. It’s one of my favorite books. Ever.

  • Kate Flournoy replied to the topic Hello! in the forum Start HERE 9 years, 1 month ago

@RJK hey! I’m an INFP too! Though I’m afraid no one in their right mind would ever mistake me for a Judger. XD

Let’s see, forum etiquette. *dons official ‘Director of Happiness’ robes* The only hard and fast rule is don’t tag more than ten people in one post, and then only relevant ones. Otherwise, general rules of Christian love. Not complicated. 😉

@RJK Welcome!!! Because this is what I do when I introduce myself on here…

    I’m Daeus’s (little) sister.
    I like to write, obviously.
I like ice cream and raspberries too. (Daeus can’t be the only one.) Oh, and blueberries.
I like to memorize scripture (see the Scripture Memorization thread if you can find it.)

What are your favorite books?…[Read more]

@RJK Hey there! You’ll fit right in here. 😀 Have you read Les Miserables?

  • Peeps? *shrugs* I only say it to be silly.
    And yes! Homeschooling!!

  • *runs in late and stands staring at the gobs of good advice*
    I love you people.

@DelightinLife personally, when I’m having plot issues it’s usually a problem with the protagonist. And when I come down to it, it’s usually because he hasn’t got any contradictions. He’s too predictable to do anything unexpected. Every character has something that…[Read more]

@RJK heyyyyy! Nice to ‘see’ you again. 😉 I see you found the introductory topics. *is glad she can give directions* XD

Wow… literally hundreds? *goggles* That’s… awesome? I hope you figure something out. 😛 I thought I had at least dozens, but I counted and came down to fifteen major ideas, so I was glad to find it a little more manageable.…[Read more]

She’s two steps ahead of you, @aratrea!

Hello @rjk !! Very nice to meet ya. I’m Elizabeth, and I don’t know what I contribute to the forum except for talking a lot and occasionally turning into a dragon… (that’s a joke you’ll understand later) but I’m here, a lot, and always willing to talk if you need a writing buddy or moral support. *grins*…[Read more]

  • @DelightinLife I’m not going to look through allll those posts, so hopefully I’m not repeating anything you’ve already been told. XP

Usually when I have a protagonist with no plot, I a) let it stew for a bit if I have time or b) (if I want to do the story now) I take a look at the character and analyze what sort of conflict he’d need to make…[Read more]

    Hey @rjk
Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet!
Wow. That is a lot of ideas. If you need help narrowing, I’ve dealt with that before, so I may be of service. 🙂
And we’ve all got problems here. I think the same way you do. If I watch a movie, I try to see how I would describe it.
    Again, welcome!

  • @northerner
Yeah. I have to watch my back at times. There’s a reason I melt chairs. 😛

  • @delightinlife Well, some lords would have to deal with the problems in their fief. Thieves, disputes, war, and everyday business of running a fief in general, such as selling the stuff that his serfs make, and divvying out his soldiers to the king’s army, and a myriad of other things. Since you have your own story world, you can be really…[Read more]

  • Sounds to me like you need to worldbuild a bit. Build a government, build the landscape, build the people that operate within the government. Once you’ve done that, you can create characters that live inside that world, that government, and then you can create their ideals, their views, their beliefs…

    I feel like @daeus or @aratrea would have…[Read more]
