This would depend on how similar the characters are to one another, and how often they show up. If you have up to 7-10 characters that stay with the reader the entire plot, it shouldn’t be too bad, especially if you give them each distinct names and defining characteristics.
The main characters moves through the story and through d…[Read more]

@skredder Oh okay. But still, I really liked it! Maybe you could try publishing your book on KP? (Wow. I say that to a lot of people.
@gh24682468999 Agreed…I can safely say that Tug and Abelard (Arbelard? How do you spell it again… 😅) plus Sable are my favorite characters. And maybe Will, Evanlyn, and Horace! Hmm… interesting!

Hi People. 🙂
Who here uses Scrivener?
‘Cause if you do, or if you want to, there’s a free live webinar on the 15th (or 16th if you’re an Australian and you have to deal with a time difference) of this month. K.M. Weiland’s promoting it, so it’s going to be good. 😉
Here’s the link for…[Read more]

Thanks, @gh24682468999, that’s great advice! 🙂 Also, what @rochellaine said. Before you but it in the signature, I was copy and pasting every time I tagged you. Now, no problems!

@gh24682468999 Haha! It looks pretty scary at first, but the analyzation you have in your signature helped me memorize it pretty quickly. 😀

@clairec I think @gh24682468999 @sage-g and @seekjustice all have blogs.
@catwing had a topic like this a little bit ago here, so you might be able to use some of the advice offered there. (Link to the Catwing’s topic.)

@gh24682468999 Hey! Another person (besides me) who has read Ranger’s Apprentice!!!!!! (Sorry, it’s a really good series in my opinion.)
Oh…um…sorry, that was totally off-topic for this forum.
@skredder I like it! So is this a part of a story, or a stand alone one?

Skredder replied to the topic Short Story for my Novel in the forum Short Story Critiques 6 years, 9 months ago
@gh24682468999 Okay, I made a few changes to the story. I added a little to the beginning and a little to the end. Hopefully, that will clear up a few things. I’m worried about adding any more in case it gets to spoilery for the full story. I had mentioned a little bit about her being on probation at the beginning, but it was a single…[Read more]

Thanks guys for all your inputs! I have quite a few “bad romance” ideas now though I think I will need to write multiple books if I want to cover everything here.
But now I’m also thinking of presenting a “good example” of a romantic relationship in my story… This is weird to ask considering the title of this thread but are there any specific…[Read more]

@gh24682468999 Writer’s corner is great! You tag someone, and ask them if they’d like to write ‘with’ you for a while. It’s basically great accountability, because when you’re finished you can tell each other how much you wrote, which gives you motivation to write and not just sit procrastinating. 😛
