Oooh, I really like Dalton!! Do that.
If you want to. 😛Hazel’s not too bad; I like it a lot better than Rylee (or Ryder—whichever is the girl).

@Jess, I don’t really HATE the names, though I don’t really like any of them. You asked. 😉
My favorite of the names is Jax, though; his name sounds like he’d be a nice character.
Also it’s kinda hard to tell which are male and which are female, if you don’t know.

Shucks, @Jess. 😉
Maybe the parents got taken by the government because they went outside the city boundaries for some (important to them, but illegal nonetheless) reason?
And then perhaps the kids want to change the government because if it’s oppressive enough to imprison people simply for leaving a city (though the fact that those people are…[Read more]

You tagged me, @Overcomer, but I think others will be better qualified to help you. Your assurance that I will not be sought vengeance on is greatly appreciated. 😀
That’s a neat poem, though. 🙂 I especially love the first three lines.

@Bluejay, just checking to make sure the address worked and all—did you get the e-mail I sent you?

@Bluejay, I wondered if you’d like to be e-mail pen-pals? I know you’re four years older than me; and we’ll in all probability never meet, as we live on opposite corners of the world; and I’m not a writer (of fiction at least 🙂 )…but I’d like to get to know you better, and correspond regularly, if you’d like that. Whadda-ya say, Tessa? 🙂
-
@emma-flournoy Sure. I’d like to do that. I’ll warn you now, I’m terrible a checking my own writing, so you’ll probably end up with a lot of spelling and grammar errors in the emails. Mum is trying to get me to slow down so she’ll read my first two or three emails, so they should be problem free. 🙂 (My fingers try to keep up with my brain and…[Read more]

Oh yay! I’m glad you want to… 😉
I’ll e-mail Sarah and ask for your address; how do I e-mail her? :/
And I’m extremely meticulous with my spelling and grammar, so we should be a good match then!-

Just email me at kingdompenmag@gmail.com! 🙂

Thanks @spradlin. 🙂
@emma-flournoy Can’t wait for the first email between us.

Ah!! I understand now. I didn’t know in your first post that you meant click the link BUTTON—I thought you meant the actual link.
Thanks—I’ve got it now! -

No, @Bluejay, that’s not what I meant (I posted my ‘um, no’ comment before I saw your next one, btw—it WASN’T directed at you. 😉 )—I meant, like my attempt. Which failed. The link in that post was supposed to say ‘this’. What did I do??

I don’t have time to do the book club, but if you want my vote (even if it won’t count. 😉 ), I’d say The Hobbit or Little Women. You’re right, @Dragon-Snapper, Little Women is really long, but it is GREAT, as I remember from when I first read it. The version we have is Little Women and Good Wives—the sequel—though; so I’m not…[Read more]

To tell you the truth, @Dragon-Snapper, I don’t write. (Hopefully that doesn’t mean I should be kicked off KP, @Daeus. 😉 It was very friendly of y’all to accept me in the first place.)

Hmmm…maybe. I might be more interested in reading a book like that if it had more about the character’s personality or struggles on there. Though I don’t know if that’s something you could put on it or not…
And also, if the Japanese bombing Darwin isn’t something that really happened, I don’t know if I’d like it; I don’t care all that much…[Read more]

I know, it’s so hilarious—all the small world discoveries one makes sometimes. 🙂
Oh, and I totally feel for you, @Bluejay and @Anna-Brie (and anyone else who said this 😉 ), because we live in the country as well, and most of the families similar to us (which aren’t that many, either!) live an hour or more away! It’s too bad.

Oh and @Bluejay, the lady who wrote the foreward of Raising Maidens —Jennie Chancey—is my aunt. Isn’t that funny?

@emma-flournoy Yes I did get it. I have written a reply and it just needs Mum to proof read it and then it will be sent to you. 🙂
Great—just wanted to check. 🙂
