@WarrioroftheRealm Got it.
And I agree hugely with you and @Mark-Kamibaya about repetition in songs!!Have you heard the musical ‘group’ (not sure if that works, ’cause it’s mainly two people) Secret Garden? They’ve got some weird ones, but some of their’s are gorgeous. It’s a Norwegian composer and pianist (Rolf Loveland) and an Irish violinist…[Read more]

@Anne-of-Lothlorien You’re on and it’s not Monday!
And that’s a quite odd nighttime story. 😛

@Mark-Kamibaya Wow, that’s a lot of great thinking material. I like it. I’m pretty sure I get your drift…lemme see if I can give a coherent reply.
Yes, I have read Ecclesiastes, on my own and with the family and discussion. I understand what Solomon puts out there, and his thoughts on how fruitless life is. But somewhere in Ecclesiastes, he…[Read more]

Oh, and @Daeus @Mark-Kamibaya is the foil character you’re talking of in CoF someone who was real? I know the basics of the real story but I can’t think of anyone who’d be the way I’m seeing the guy you’re talking about. Is it a real historical character?

@Mark-Kamibaya I like discussing deep questions. I tend to get frustrated when I don’t understand exactly what’s being said though, so thanks for bearing with me. 😉
With your first example, Eve, it doesn’t seem like that’s two true goods—on the one hand she can be happy with God, and on the another she can be like God…but with the latter,…[Read more]

HEY TESSA!! Good to see you. 😀 I will pray—I know how special even little things can be. Long grass…aw, I’m so sorry. 😛 That’s one of the worst places to lose something little.

@Mark-Kamibaya Ah, yes that makes more sense. So a choice between two evils in this way would be like this: you can either do what’s right even if it’s to your own harm (sacrificial something), or do what you want to even if it’s morally wrong. Is that right?
And at least watch BtM. Then draw your own conclusions. 🙂
@Daeus Ooh, I haven’t…[Read more]

@Mark-Kamibaya Wow. Sounds powerful. 🙂
I’m not sure of all you mean by this though— When you want a character to make a true choice, you don’t choose between good and evil. You must choose between two goods or two evils. That is the law. And that makes for a harder choice. Happened at Eden and it happens today. The moral difficulty makes for a…[Read more] -

Agh, I know. *grimace* This might sound bad, but that’s a problem sometimes with kings and preachers especially—they’re so intent on shepherding their flock or country that they neglect the shepherding of their children.
Does it ever shock you that we have almost the whole book of Proverbs from Solomon, especially with all the stuff about…[Read more] -

Let me put it this way. Parents must try their hardest to be awesome parents. That’s what God wants. But the kids might turn out to be nasty people no matter what the parenting. If the parents actually parented well then they aren’t responsible. Kids, after all, have free will.
@Mark-Kamibaya Well, you’re right. 😛 I do think a child will be [Read more]

@Mark-Kamibaya OK, so I guess that means you follow American news pretty closely. 😀
Yes, we can always trust God to do His perfect will. That’s one of my favorite things ever. 😉
And yay for the Cubs! Even though I don’t watch sports. 😛 I love it when the underdogs win.
