Hey @Joy-Schmidt!! I remember when you were on here. You didn’t stick around long enough. Welcome back, and congratulations on starting to write again. 😀
Erm…yes, if I think of any brilliant ideas I’ll pop back in, but it looks like @Winter-Rose has some great ones already, and @Northerner with her advice. But welcome back. 🙂
And it’s…[Read more] -

@That_Writer_Girl_99 I think they were both made before you were on the forum—on pages 8 and 19. But thank you very much.

People, remember Mrs. Keusal—last mentioned on page 19. Well, she’s gone to Heaven.
We can praise God she’s no longer hurting in any way, but her family needs a lot of prayer. Lots of homeschooled kids under age 15, and Mr. Keusal still needing to do work for their income. I think he’s self-employed, but it’s going to be a lot of work for him…[Read more] -

@That_Writer_Girl_99 🙂
Those are some of my favorite verses for when I’m feeling alone and useless.@Ethryndal Where would we be without moms?
(Yes, nowhere.)Well I like being kindred spirits. 🙂

Depression (from writing AND life) is something I’ve struggled with myself, but I’ve always felt like I needed to keep it hidden and be happy all the time, or people might think less of me.
😮 How do you read my mind so much.
I always want to try to be happy, and not let anyone else be bothered by it, but sometimes it just isn’t pos…[Read more] -

@Dragon-Snapper Hey, we have MuseScore. I’ve had…many problems with it, but much of it is awesome. XD I don’t use it much anymore, but I used to use it for writing down soundtrack sheet music that I couldn’t find online. I listened to videos or tracks of the music and figured out what the notes were and all, and wrote it down in MS. Now I still…[Read more]

@Daeus Have you gotten anywhere close to 1000 takers of your survey?
-
No. I got 229 though.
-
Meh. At least it’s better than none.
-
-
Hey @Daeus, whenever you need beta-readers for your book, I would love (aka REALLY want) to be one, if you don’t already have enough lined up or anything.
-
Hey! I would be honored if you would.

😀
I’D be honored.

@Daeus Yes. That’s a big problem I have—you wrote the solution right there. It’s just hard to remember all the time. Thanks for saying such true truths, even if its kind of hard to consistently live by them. 😀

@FeedingMyGoldfish Wheee! Yes, I’ve tried the higher-on-bow grip before, but never long enough to get comfortable with it. 😛 I should do it more.
@ClaireC I’m F3 to F5…so that makes me like a cross between alto and mezzosoprano. I love singing, but mostly when I’m alone, or just having fun. 😛 I carry tunes well but I don’t really have technique.

@That_Writer_Girl_99 @Daeus I’ll be praying hard for both of you. I struggle with depression myself not infrequently and I know just how low it makes you feel.
Daeus, in your own words—Depression is a result of worry. Depression kills your joy, and the joy of the Lord is your strength. When you’re not worrying, you’re stronger and nothing seems…[Read more] -

@FeedingMyGoldfish Hey, thanks! I’ll take a look. I’ve looked up how to sound fiddly so many times…I’m self taught so most of my info comes from where I can find it online. But nothing I’ve read about fiddling has stuck well. I want to be able to play like a violinist and a fiddler. 😛
Specifically Irish is good. I like Irish/British style…[Read more] -

@FeedingMyGoldfish Oramentation, aka grace notes. Right? Some of them at least. Those things are so fun, for violin and voice.
And you used to FIDDLE? *gasp* Please, tell me how I can make my violin sound fiddly! -

@That_Writer_Girl_99 I’ll be praying for you too.
@Ethryndal Link to song…on page 21…pay attention. XD
Thanks for the prayers and congratulations everyone. Kate did awesomely, and so many people came and said afterwards, “She was singing with so much VIGOR!” 😀

@f5a8c3e92 Huh, guess I haven’t heard that word enough, and ‘pried’ would work too. 😛
Oh, and I see now how that means only Sawyer, but that was definitely not my first thought. -

Here are some things. I guess some of them were there with the previous excerpts too, I just didn’t remember them all (or didn’t have time to be thorough enough, which is also possible. :P).
Halle… Moonglade. Yes. That was the perfect name. Sure, she’d attempted to write several books, leaving them unfinished… but this was different. Yes, she’d…[Read more]
