If you want to talk about emotional struggles, you are free to do that. But I think Ellette simply wanted to make a joke about how much she likes soccer, and so it makes sense for her to defend her love of the sport when you responded with negativity.

Hi! (I can’t get into my email so I’m messaging you here lol)
I’m watching a historical fiction anime called The Vinland Saga rn, have you seen it? Idk I thought you might like it, it’s a sienen (made for adults) so it can be heavy on the gore but it’s a war show so to be expected. I’m only 8 episodes in so I can’t say for the…[Read more]

I wish I was athletic? XD
I like the slight burn that comes from steady running, but side pain tends to come first. I like to bike and hike, but (as some already mentioned) I’m in school and working a desk job. Which means most of the steady exercise I get is daily five-ten minute power walks crossing campus between classes.
As…[Read more]

Exactly! My brother still exercises all the time, and he’s stronger than me despite being younger. He enjoys wall climbing too. It’s really funny because he has broad shoulders and strong arms, but his feet are tiny.

I wish I could be more active, but my parents told me to stop jiu-jitsu for now because I need treatment first. *grumpy* Literally all I’m allowed to do is walk my dog.

Yep, he’s in a wheelchair! He has a birth defect where his spinal cord developed weirdly and his legs are… partially paralyzed? I’m not sure what the term is.
And that is my explanation for having a couple wheelchair-bound characters in my stories, lol.

@freed_and_redeemed @ellette-giselle @I’mnotsure
Hey, do either of you (and/or someone else) have resources about PTSD based on actual interviews with WWII survivors? I can do my own research ofc, but just thought I’d ask. I know both of you are writing historical fiction about it.

I’ve never been great at physical sports; the doctors say I have a lot of low vitamins/minerals. I’m a weakling, lol. But I played soccer for a while and it wasn’t bad. I even got a header in the last game. And I love watching wheelchair basketball because my brother plays.

Marcel
A faint smile tugged at Marcel’s mouth. “I’m going that way. Come on.”
Mateo and the other kid followed a few steps behind. They took a slight detour, so Marcel could kick a loose locker and catch a book before it fell all the way from the top of the locker row. Being able to hide things in higher spaces was…[Read more]

I just sent another message through the Contact Us page. I checked around for an email and found ‘kingdompenmag@gmail.com.’ I’m not sure if this is the only inbox KP uses, so I’m going to wait for a while before directly using this email instead of Contact Us.
I think the best thing to do right now is to have a backup plan, and try to get…[Read more]

What exactly does that entail?
Snipercore, reptiles, sci-fi, things like that. Also, I’ve never tried to use a 3D animation engine, but now that you’ve started playing with that, I associate you with the vibe of minimal-effect 3D models. I know that’s very specific and doesn’t make a lot of sense, but it’s in my brain now. Lol.
There’s n…

*Extremely embarrassed at the length of the post* Also Sara, just because I yapped a lot does not mean you have to ‘fix’ anything. I’ve explained how I would edit, but those are my opinions and this is your project. 😊

no I haven’t!!!
Oki, I’m going to explain this structure because it seems to work for a looot of stories! 🙃 It’s very broad/all-encompassing, except for some Eastern cultures and the like.
I did not invent all of this. I listened to Brandon Sanderson’s writing lectures and explained them in my own words. So just to clarify, I…[Read more]

I don’t like being super graphic/body horror about it, I just make sure my favorite characters come out of it with a tangible reminder of the incident.
Tangible reminder is a fun trope. I haven’t used it too often. I can’t remember the last time I gave a character a dramatic scar. It feels like something that belongs in the Keilah genre. :p

Wow!! Thanks so much for mentioning that! I’ll look it up right away and see what my folks think. (I like to get their advice before I watch something new. 😉)
Again, thanks so much!
also, did you draw your pfp? If so, it’s pretty amazing!
Ok! Tell me if you watch it! Only thing to note is that in general Japanese shows can be really sad and you have to stick it out for the payoff. There’s a lot of bad guys and their behavior is gross, however the show does a good job portraying it as gross. The main character has a pretty negative revenge arc but it’s obviously not being portrayed…[Read more]
I didn’t draw it lol, Idk I usually would use my art but I just felt kinda lazy and wanted my fav character as the pfp XD I’m pretty sure it’s a panel from the manga.
I actually am a secret lover of sad stories and tragedies, as long as there’s a beautiful purpose for them. Ooo! Have you seen Grave of Fireflies? That one was so, so sweet and so beautiful. (and tragic) I loved it so much. It was my first anime, and it was WWII so I was all in!
Ooo! Dresses! Nice! Yes of course I’ll let you know when/if I watch…[Read more]
Oh nice! I love sad stories too XD if a show makes me cry I know it’s a good one! I haven’t, but I’ve heard great things about it and it’s on my tbw! Totally understandable! I haven’t seen that one.
well nice pfp anyhow. It reminded me of your work. ☺️
Aw thanks! < 3
