Rolena Hatfield started the topic Recording Music in the forum Music 11 years, 1 month ago
I’m not by any means a techi person. But I would love to take my music and either be able to record and mix it on my computer or be able to create my music on my computer without having to first record it. Any programs or sites someone could suggest?

Well… I always thought I would submit to a publishing company, but it seems that sometimes that can be a very long and expensive process, so I self-published my pirate novel and it was relativity easy and very inexpensive, the problem is if I really would like to see the book sell, I haven’t done a very good job at advertising.
But I really…[Read more] -

Hi Rosey! Wow you’re published! That’s awesome!
What’s the title (or titles) of your published work? -

Ahem…. *clears throat very loudly*…. Welcome to the forum Mr. Ezra Wilkinson. *claps and cheers are heard in the background*
We’re very glad to have Daniel’s tote’s bestie along for the ride.
What kind of box is it exactly that you prefer not to break out of? (does someone know how to insert a puzzled face?) -

Okay. I’m not intimidated. But you didn’t really give us much to go on, Ezra. I mean, what kind of an intro is that? Really. 😛
Well, that you’re Daniel’s totes bestie is pretty descriptive, I guess… but you might have put down some of what follows in implication. Or maybe you shouldn’t have. It might be kind of intimidating after all. But I’ll…[Read more] -

First things first, Rachel. An apology is in order. I beg your pardon for being so late in replying. My only excuse (a rather shabby one) is that something seems to have gone wrong with the setting that sends replies to email. They have not been coming into the inbox. I was on my page today, and saw this cute little button stamped with the word…[Read more]

Hello, hello Sarah! Welcome to the forum!
Yay someone who knows their grammar! You will probably be my future reference person for that yummy little detail so important for writing!
Oooo I love British English, but unfortunately I’m not very familiar with real British English, so when I write I make it up 🙂 So I thank you in advance for offering…[Read more] -

Oh, another thing I learned was how to become a best selling author. All you have to do is have your book pre-published in an ebook format on Amazon. Then get all the friends you can enlist to direct as many people as possible to your book within an hour’s time frame or so. Sell it discounted to increase your sales. All you have to do to become an…[Read more]

S—sir what? Except for that last part, I agree. And I only don’t agree with that last part because… how can a moose be a count or have anything to do with bologna?

Comedy doesn’t seem to agree with my system.
Huh. Funny. At first I thought Ezra Wilkinson wrote this story in the first person. My mistake. I must have been wrong in that supposition. Yeah. I must have been wrong. Funny. All other evidence points to it.
Yes, he’s definitely a homeschooler. Only a homeschooler would write or even dream of p…[Read more] -

So if the government ever hunts me down for publishing a grammatical mess, I should flee to Singapore?

No idea who that is, but I am highly complimented.
Canadian humor writer. I’m surprised you haven’t heard of him… wait…
*gasp* maybe you are him! -

The writing style here reminds me of Gordon Korman. High compliment, coming from me. 😛

@The Happy Bookaholic
I haven’t read either of those, but I know about Sherlock Holmes. Good example. Since the story is narrated by Dr. Watson, that makes the death more possible. Though it is sort of about Sherlock… how much can the story go on without him?@Daeus
That looks like a great plan! Good idea having him come back as another…[Read more] -

Neat— great ideas. I’ll have to admit advertising is the only thing about publishing that scares me. Let me know when you create your blog.

If you love this style the most, than it is your best bet at doing well. And it doesn’t really matter whether you think it is publishable. What matters is if readers think it is worth reading. I thought it was worth reading. And seriously, I think this might actually sell really well. At least it would either sell really well or terribly – nothing…[Read more]

This is awesome! You need to write a whole collection of these and publish them in a book. At first, I thought your weakness was rambling. Now I see its your strength. Just ramble on paper.

The way I am doing it is to have the character appear to die in an accident in such a way that it does not seem suspicious that his body was not found. I then completely forget about him and have the other characters go on as if he were dead. This happens near the beginning of the story and he is not mentioned again in all the middle chapters.…[Read more]

Yep, you got me. 🙂 But I do have others in mind, Archie isn’t the only one… but he’s still a prime example.
That way sounds really good! I don’t think I’ve read or watched any stories with that way of doing things, but it sounds like it would work really well.
The one that usually surprises me the most when they bring them back is almost the…[Read more] - Load More
