Question…is there any way to put pictures in a post?

  • Hope Ann replied to the topic Chatter in the forum General Writing Discussions 11 years ago

No, I haven’t. But they look interesting. Has anyone read the Eyes of E’veria books by Serena Chase? I love them…well, the first three books that are out, anyway.

Welcome to the forum Miss Hannah!

Well congratulations in advanced on being a published author! That’s a HUGE accomplishment!
What, pray tell are you publishing? (is it a novel? What genre is it? What’s the title?)

Oh Kenya! I have friends who are heading there as missionaries next summer! What was one thing you learned while there over those…[Read more]

That is pretty cool. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book like that. Animal Farm was kinda like that, but not entirely.

And no matter how long your book list is, put Les Mis up near the top (along with the count of monte cristo. My favorite of all). Amazing! … and very long. Think bible long, both of them. but hey, that’s a year’s worth of some…[Read more]

  • Ugh— the italics setting on these things drives me nuts. I always forget to turn it off.

  • Eh… the debate was so-so. It’s really difficult to give equal talking time to each candidate when there are so many of them, so it was kind of a confused mess.

I didn’t catch your Les Mis reference, not having read the book, but I see what you’re saying nonetheless. That’s certainly a very powerful way to do it.

But I just had this really cool…[Read more]

We have Seasons of Gray and I really, really liked it. Speaking of which, we haven’t seen that movie for a long time…

  • Daeus replied to the topic Chatter in the forum General Writing Discussions 11 years ago

Oh, say, ever seen seasons of grey (not to be confused with a similar sounding title). It has the same main actor as beyond the mask. Over all, I think I liked it even better. Its a modern day version of the Joseph story, and its done really well. You really have to stop to realize how its really just a reeling of an old story because it seems so…[Read more]

@Daeus ‘Nothing serious’ indeed. 🙂 And I like how he just sits outside the tavern, waiting and tracking the time with his watch. And I looked up the Risen preview…it does look good. I’ve always loved the different retelling of ‘the centurion’.

@hannah-c No, I haven’t seen Grace Unplugged. Is it good?

  • Daeus replied to the topic Chatter in the forum General Writing Discussions 11 years ago

nope, just looked up the plot line though.

  • Daeus replied to the topic Chatter in the forum General Writing Discussions 11 years ago

I’m really looking forward to Risen. The trailer is addicting. Haven’t seen War Room yet, but I wan’t to.

Oh, yea, and the actor for Benjamin Franklin was Fabulous. He had the best lines. Probably my favorite line in the whole movie, “Oh good, nothing serious then.” Ha!

I’ve just supposed that the bag must have been waterproof, but yeah, a few…[Read more]

I saw it in theaters and then saw it again yesterday on DVD. I really liked it, though there was a slight plot hole where the bad guys replace the papers in William’s coat…it never explains how they found where he lived or how they knew the papers were there. And (picky me) he dives into the water at the beginning with his two sets of papers and…[Read more]

Wow, now there’s two debates I haven’t seen. My political awareness is about as good as a groundhog’s. How’d it go?

Despite that, I am having a good day. Don’t expect me to ever give a different answer. Occasionally I have great days, but most of the time I have good days.

On villains: Their opposition to the progress in the reaching of the…[Read more]

Yes! I was actually a theatre captain. In fact, I’m wearing the t-shirt right now. What did you think of it? I could make a few complaints, but over all I thought it was fantastic. I noticed that the first time I watched it, I thought that the redemption theme was well done, but a little shoved to the back of the story. The second time I watched…[Read more]

So…if you all don’t mind, I thought it would be fun to have one thread where we could just talk about random things that are too small for a thread of their own; movies, things going on, anything and everything (within reason, of course). Also, it’s an easy place to procrastinate when you should be writing or studying for mid-terms. 😀

  • Of course not! Easy questions are not discussion starters! 😀

The villain, if there is a villain (and there are times you can go without them), must not merely oppose the MC in a physical sense. He must (at least usually) oppose him on a mental/spiritual level as well.

Okay… good. I like that. Let’s take that. Let’s go deeper with that one.…[Read more]
