@Emily I’m unnecessarily hard on myself and use photoshop. 😛
@Shannon thank you! You hadn’t mentioned that, but… I can put you on the list, if you like. 🙂 And no, I love that movie. One of the most quotable movies of all time. 😛
@Mariposa mmm… more like a lonely villain. 😉 Thank you though. 😀@Daeus it’s… um… for the eleventh book.

@kate-flournoy Why?!?! You’re such a horrible person.
Actually, that sounds like it could be really good. Still evil, but good. 🙂 And that picture of the guy in the bottom right corner is perfect. I want to read about him now. 😀

Okay guys I made another one. You people are positively a bad influence.

Yes, it’s another antagonist. I won’t say villain because he isn’t quite, but he comes pretty close. His name is Nisien and he’s basically immortal.

@Daeus, this is Harold and Arianwen’s son. *hides under the table*

@dragon-snapper Well, I always recommend knowing your end from the beginning. But, of course, we have to deal with the situation as it is.
I think this is the simplest way to approach the issue. What lessons do your characters learn in the first two books and what would it look like if that lesson had to be learned on a national scale? Once…[Read more]

@emily-d One of my favorite writing tools would have to be The Emotions Thesaurus that some people already mentioned. 🙂 And also baby names books/name generator websites.

@joy NaNoWriMo is a great opportunity to make yourself write. It gives you a goal and a concentrates time to write in. I was surprised by what I was capable of last year. I highly recommend it–especially if you take the time to plot your book out ahead of time, which is an excellent exercise.
When I first started doing NaNo, I was in middle…[Read more] -

@emily-d I actually got the privilege to be one of the beta testers of Weiland’s outlining program, and I really liked it. Helped me a good bit in working to outline one of my own books.

It also has a nice distraction-free writing mode which can be helpful at times.

@emily-d @dragon-snapper I think Scrivner is great if you like to keep yourself organized. If throwing down a bullet point outline is organized enough for you, I don’t think you’ll need Scrivner. However, I know Scrivner has a lot of features and I don’t know about a lot of them. It was definitely designed just for writers. I do think Scrivner is…[Read more]
