@Sam-Kowal I actually think about that more than I probably should… 😛 The possibilities are just so fascinating!

@livgiordano Well, I may be wrong, but I don’t know if you can do it completely. You probably don’t have to mention God very much to make that type of message, <span style=”background-color: #ffd9de;”>but I think you’d have to just at least some. </span>

@waterlily Definitely what Elizabeth said.

Also, on another note, things like love conquers all” and “revenge leads to destruction” aren’t actually themes, they’re messages. I don’t know if you’ve ever looked into KP’s Theme Mastery course, but one of the things we teach in there is that a theme should never be controversial like “revenge leads…[Read more]

That was for compiling the ebook. Publishing it to Amazon is also very easy.

@photobloggergal Yes, it’s very easy. Do you have Scrivener? That’s what I used so I could help you the most with that, but it’s also easy to do with Word and some other programs.

@hope and @daeus both have. Hope even created the Kindle version of the Best of 2016 KP eBook we created last year. 🙂

Oh, somebody already asked my question. 😛

@livgiordano Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet!

I’m a YDubber too, though I don’t get on the community much.

What’s your favorite fantasy book?

@jenwriter17 Yess… I’ve been on a bit of a sci-fi kick lately, so here’s what I got in addition to those mentioned.

-Ender’s Game & Speaker for the Dead (the sequel) are my two favorite speculative fiction books of all time. There’s some language in both books, so if that concerns you, you probably want to stay clear of it, but the themes are…[Read more]

@epicaddie2 You don’t have to do this, but if you want to write a really in-depth historical fiction story, I’ve read that you don’t want to just read about the time period, but you want to read in the time period. Read the books that were famous at the time, preserved letters from the time period, newspaper articles, etc.

@kate-flournoy I hate being in serious trouble.

@jenwriter17 I like #4 most for what sounds like an exciting read, but #5 actually fascinates me the most. It would depend on what your MC is like, but I think that could make an amazing book.

If you had not tagged me and I’d missed the opportunity you’d have been in serious trouble.

@Daeus yes!

@kate-flournoy Just tagging you because you’re normally into this. If you want to do it, I’ll get you your own doc.

@that_writer_girl_99 Research English longbowmen. They were the best of the best and traditional bowmanship was a bit different than today. Like English bowmen sometimes used 100lb draw bows, which just makes us all look like epic wimps basically.

@bella-d Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of her. What do you like about her?

@bella-d MY GIRLL IS HERE!!!!

In other words, hi Bella! 😀

@bella-d That’s so cool you write historical fiction. Some of us on here do, but the vast majority write fantasy. I write both, and other genres as well. Who’s your favorite historical character?

@rochellaine Yep, it’s called contemporary fiction.

Welcome to the site @bella-d! Glad you joined us. 🙂 Are you more of a novel, novella, or short story writer?
