@daeus Maybe I could send you the chapter-by-chapter synopsis and the first two or three chapters of my WIP? Then you can just give me an idea of whether or not it’s structured and all that jazz.

@Allison-grace Yeah, sorry–I’m one of the weird folks here who doesn’t have their tag matching their display name. =P Yep–being able to make up your own histories and cultures without having to get tons of books from the library to research is a huge plus. Right with you on that.

@Cloudy sorry I’ve been so long getting back! 😛 What @GracieGirl said; also in some places I felt that you jumped too quickly from deep, in the moment scenes to hurried overviews. To fix that, you should probably make lines for scene breaks, and make your deep in the moment scenes even deeper, while your overviews can either be shortened, or…[Read more]

@winter-rose It’s fine to wait for the second draft before you take a break. Probably best actually.

@jadamae Sweet! Yes, reviewing is TOUGH because it can get discouraging if it’s been awhile since you reviewed… I’m finding that out. 😀

*cringes at all the beautiful sensible comments and retreats inside her dragonish shell*
@Winter-Rose umm… unfortunately the longest break I’ve ever taken, with all eight* novels I’ve finished, is… um… one night.
Literally. One night between novels and then I can’t wait any longer. I probably should take longer breaks… don’t kill me…[Read more] -

@Winter-Rose @GracieGirl thank you both for your prayers, and yes, Gracie— I’ll pray. 😉 I don’t imagine something like that comes without a lot of emotional turmoil in the family too.

Oh! I forgot! And I’m looking for a Brittish beta-reader too. I’ve got two characters who are modern Britts, and I have very little idea how modern Britts talk. If you happen to know any Brittish people who might be interested, I would be appreciative.

@dragon-snapper Okay, well, you can be part of the first round if you think that would be best.
Go ahead and send me the manuscript right away.

Daeus replied to the topic My Time Travel Book in the forum Novel Critique Requests 9 years, 1 month ago
@hope Sure.
@his-instrument While I don’t have time to completely beta read it, I could brainstorm with you about the overall plot, characterization, theme, and stuff like that. I might be able to beta read the first couple chapters too, just for stylistic stuff. I don’t know for sure, but we’ll wait and see. - Load More
