Emiyn Martinez, eighteen, was Selected to go to Nova Terra. She has to leave behind her sister, Aven, who is alone with autism. With hidden talents and a secret past, she will do anything to save Aven. But there are some who will do anything to take advantage of Em’s tal…[Read more]

Great topic! …now I have to remember what I read last! 😆 I’m pretty sure it was The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen. My favorite thing was probably the MC, Sage’s, personality. He was street-smart and sarcastic, but also noble. My least favorite thing was the pace. A lot of the time it was super slow, with occas…[Read more]

@daisy-torres Dang, girl… That is a lot! While, I, too, have several books planned to write in Chinese, I have not attempted that yet… If you need me to check anything, feel free to ask!
Take a break! That is a lot!

Hello! I’m beginning a rant because splicing my brain into three novels has now become too much and I need to vent XD Feel free to skip past this haha.
So I started a novel three-four-ish years ago that has been transformed from a 1700s historical fiction into a scifi sortaish-retelling, but I’m starting to lose interest now that another book…[Read more]

@kathleenramm No, I haven’t tried. The time that I did try writing a story for a kid it ended up being kinda dark…thank goodness she couldn’t read…
My sister did write a kid’s book when she was a kid though! We’re probably all used to writing books for our age groups, haha…

ASDjkljfhkgyaSDF I came up with a new story idea, and of course that means nEw cHaRaCtERSsSS *singsongy annoying voice* K, so they’re still under development but here’s their basic-ness in all of its glory so far.
Kadotake: Criminal. Doesn’t question motives. The only girl in her crime ring. Has short, curly blonde hair, grey eyes, and is quite…[Read more]

SeekJustice replied to the topic If you got to be a screen writer for a movie, what type of movie would it be? in the forum Topic of the Week 5 years, 5 months ago
@kathleenramm Definitely a historical movie! Not so much a period drama (not like in the style of any of the Jane Austen/Jane Eyre/romance movies) but more like a biopic (or those movies that aren’t about real people but kind of have the biopic style), I guess. I’ve always dreamed of making a movie about the Wright Brothers in particular! There’s…[Read more]

Interesting question! The last book I read was The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson, which I finished yesterday! I think my favourite thing was how fleshed out the two main characters (Vin and Kelsier) were! I loved reading about them and rooting for them!
My least favourite thing was how long it was. That put me off reading it f…[Read more]

THANK YOU SO MUCH TOO!!!
(Curse that all caps button for being such a temptation to use all the time XD ).
Seriously though, I appreciate it:) Yeah, the boat ride was awkward, (but surprisingly extremely fun to write). It’s hilarious/sometimes sweet/frustrating when they bicker and get at each other because I know that they will…[Read more] -

I understand exactly what you mean. I can write a fifty-word dialogue exchange, then mull over it for a half-hour wondering all the ways I could edit it. So yep, NaNoWriMo is a nice break from editing:)
No problem, it’s the least a fellow WriMo-er can do to warn you of the upcoming month! -

So as I said, I probablyÂ
monologuetalk/intro some about my five primary characters a bit.The protagonist of TSW is Mejia, (whom I still have to invent a Russian variant of that name for *sigh*…)
She is right up there in the top characters for complicated/tragic pasts and one of the strongest characters of TSW. She is a sixteen-year-old…[Read more] -

Precisely! And that’s true, I guess that when the good things happen to them, it’s even better because of how much it will contrast to them suffering, (*puts hands up in defense as my characters glare at me*).
*Whew* I’m glad it wasn’t un-legible. I love wolves too, and they fit in pretty nicely Birch Woods. Thank you incredibly…[Read more] -

OOoh, girl, your story was SPECTACULAR!!!!! I loooved how you mixed a few fairytales together and how it TOTALLY didn’t end up how I expected it. Plus, the SUSPENSE!!!! I mean, WHO POISONED THE PRINCESS?????!!!!! I. Need. To. Know. 😉 And as @gracie-j said it was actually really hilarious. Plus, I like having the whole deep…[Read more]
