Hey guys! I’ve decided to try my hand at some poetry, but first, I want to read some published poetry before I do, to sort of get the feel of it, and see what goes.
So, I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for me to try, preferably beyond the popular ones like The Wreck of the Hesperus and The Lady of Shallot and The Raven. Ones…[Read more] -

@that_writer_girl_99 I’ll be praying for you. *coughs* Of course you’re not clumsy enough to trip. *grins encouragingly* May your future be clear and ever bright!

My graduation ceremony is coming up this weekend, guys! I’m very excited but also a little nervous…it’s all the way in Orlando–near Disney World–and I’m nervous ’cause…well…I’m graduating. So overwhelmed by what this means for my life, but excited for the…[Read more]

@Anne-of-Lothlorien That’s so sad. I’ll definitely pray for her.
Ah, good to hear about the root canal going well, by the end at least. I’m the one who asked what it is, btw—@Ethryndal isn’t so ignorant. 😉 Glad it worked out.

@aratrea @bethanysinkyroses @emma-flournoy @ethryndal. Thank you all so much for praying, but I have some really, really sad news.
Aunt Julie lost the baby.
Please pray very hard for her; this is very difficult, and for my mom too. They’re sisters, and Mom is really sad as well. I can only imagine the pain of having a miscarriage after wanting a…[Read more] -

Our family’s not stopping school yet…we’ll wait till canning season, when we really won’t have time. 😉 Then we can stop for a bit without guilt since we didn’t take off earlier.I could actually graduate this year, ’cause I’m…[Read more]

@ethryndal Very cool. Although… *coughs* I’m going to college for a degree in creative writing, so…there are options.
Lol, on another subject, they’re playing the second lord of the rings movie on TV right now and I just thought of you!@kate-flournoy Kate, sweetheart, I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works…

Is it just me, or have the forums been quieter as of late?
Anyway, I’ll be on and off writing and planning throughout the day if anyone wants to join me.

@Ethryndal Note to self about blogs: avoid blogging like the long version of a grandmother’s facebook post. :p

What do you think of parents who have no personality and never make mistakes? Is there a good excuse for writers who do this?
For example, in the Mennonite Millers book series, the parents are portrayed as all-wise and unerring. Perfect-no flaws, no mistakes, ever. Maybe they are this way to encourage the small fry in the audience to respect…[Read more]
